    Scapa Malt

This is the stuff for me...

Hard to come by but worth the effort.

A light golden malt without the peaty bitterness of most highland malts and the other orcadian offering "Highland Park"

    Not keen of peaty malts

I favour Scapa- which is like the nectar of the gods for me - or Speyside malts such as Aberlour, Glenlivet which are both very nice

If ever you are in Skipton

Go visit the Wright Wine Company. See them at http://www.wineandwhisky.co.uk/. It's an education. Bob Wright is the most knowledgable bloke I know and he's always glad to pass on information. Some rare stuff at £200 + per bottle, but also plenty of 'normal' priced single malts etc. (seestars)

I got a bottle when I was up in Edinburgh the other year.

It's an Islay malt. I bought an 18 year old and I seem to remember it costing about £40.
