Is it just me who thought we'd re-signed Paul Gibbs on loan as emergency cover?

I thought the same when that quartet were missing for Bradford but the others coped admirably.

In some way, the Mawson injury worked in our favour as I thought Roberts was better placed to cope with Bradford's aerial threat. I would prefer to see Alfie back soon though as the long term centre back option.

Hammill and White missing inevitably caused us to play much narrower and more defensive. That would be a problem at Oakwell but again it might not be as big an issue away from home.

What was most encouraging at Bradford was despite the fact that at first glance it was a backs against the wall, gritty defensive display we created plenty of chances and constantly looked a goal threat. I don't know what Johnson has done differently (other than the obvious 442 debate) but it's certainly paying off.
