Not a clue. Say 21st and anything betters good. We could have a good season though.

Newcastle at home. It's just a big match isn't it. Newcastle for me are a big Football team.

If we play well then Bree and Mawson could shine. It's all about the club doing well though. Watkins too, outsider but all the attributes to be effectiveive in the champ #Pace

Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

18th. I think this side is much stronger than the one which came up last time. Full of players who are only going to improve with more game time. My main worry is the squad size, and inexperience considering we can't be as reliant on the loan market this time around. We seem to have put together a sizeableish development squad to cope with that, but the worrying thing is that the development squad seem to have lost a lot of games in pre-season so I hope they're up to the task.



Which games are you looking forward to the most?

Wednesday and Newcastle at home. Both going to be big games. The home game with Newcastle last time is still one of my favourite in recent memory. A cracking game ending 2-2. I'm looking much more forward to Oakwell bouncing in games like this as opposed to drab, soleless atmospheres against Fleetwood and Crewe.



Which players do you expect to shine this season?

I'm looking forward to seeing what Andy Yiadom can do. He looks like he can be an exciting player. I think Adam Hammill is going to be key; he plays his best football for us, and in pre-season he's looked as sharp as ever in my opinion. I'm also looking forward to seeing Jinty Caenepeel if that ever happens.



Which players do you doubt can make the step up?

I honestly think that most players will hold their own. If I was to pick someone out who I think may struggle, I'd say that James Bree may not be ready for this division just yet. He showed many glimpses of his inexperience last season, and I fear he may not be ready just yet.




Who are the sides to fear?

We shouldn't fear anyone. We are capable I feel to give anyone a game if our confidence is up. If we lose a few in a row, I hope that we don't slump like last season as we may never get out of it.



Are there any opposition players you're looking forward to seeing?

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Rafa Benitez, and how he'll do in the championship.



Which sides do you expect to see in bother this season?

I fancy Rotherham and Burton to go down. Along with Blackburn I think. They've hemoraged their best players and seem to be in a right mess financially. Fulham and Forest may also be dark horses for the drop in my opinion.




Will Hecky still be our manager/head coach at the end of the season?

Yes. I think we'll give him the time when we inevitably have a slump. I feel that's all it will be though and I think we'll do enough to be reasonably clear of danger all season. After the patience shown with Lee Johnson, I feel it will take something quite extraordinary for us to fire another manager.




What do you reckon will be our average home gate after 23 home league games?

It's difficult to predict, but i think an average of 10,000 home fans combined with an average of around 2,000 away supporters. So I'll go 12,000 ish.




Which club will bring the most fans to Oakwell?

Leeds or Wednesday. Would have said Newcastle had it not been a midweek game. I'll say Leeds because they seem to pride themselves more on their away following than their home.




Which club will bring the least amount of fans?

Cardiff, on a Tuesday night in April when I feel they'll have little to play for.

Adam Hammill. The fans love him, he loves the fans. He's got the experience of playing in this league prior. I think he'll do well again this year.

Tom Bradshaw. I think this is a very shrew signing by us and Tom will make the step up I reckon.

What off-field area of the football club do you feel needs improving the most?


More needs to be done to bring more supporters to the club. Aim marketing at untried areas such as foreign folks living in town, or places on the outskirts of West Yorkshire who are closer to Barnsley than they are to Leeds or Huddesrfield. Support a £20 is plenty campaign, regardless of what other clubs charge us. Don't punish the fans for other football clubs greed. Make it £20 in all areas (including the away end), get more numbers through the door and ram it in people's faces that we support the £20 is plenty campaign. Set the trend, make other clubs follow suit. Make away fans want to make the journey to support the campaign themselves.



Are you excited about a new scoreboard?

Not really although I can appreciate how comercially advantageous it may be.



John Stones is sold this summer. What should the club do with any forthcoming monies in your opinion?

Some should be put towards securing our championship status at least for this season. A cash burst may prove profitable in the future if we managed to just sell one player next summer for what we have spent this. The rest should go towards securing the safety of the club in the future. It was alarming to hear that we still lose a million quid a season.



Do you reckon the reds will have another cup run this season?

It would be nice, I suppose nobody can say for certain. Round 5 of the FA cup has to be an aim.

I'd say somewhere around Nic Cage in most Nic Cage movies.

13th. Because I say it every season, it's the sign of not having a clue.

Derby home and away, Bristol City at home and Newcastle home and away stand out. I'd usually say Wednesday and Leeds but I can see me opting out for financial reasons. Anything north of £30 is urine extraction. Anywhere close to £40 is practically arse rape.

Adam Hammill will certainly have his moments, I fully expect Sam Winnall to score plenty but the standout player will no doubt be Conor Hourihane again. Incredible footballer.

Where do you think we'll finish this season and why? 18th. I think our defence which was rock solid for the second half of last season will be under real pressure away from home. However, I think we have enough firepower to finish above 6 teams including dirty Leeds who seem destined for trouble this time unless Big time Ben pulls some rabbits out of the hat.

Which games are you looking forward to the most?

All of them to be honest, especially ones where the other team bring more than 50 fans. That's what depressed me about the pub league, seeing a giant stand empty. Obviously the Derby games provided we don't have to kick off at 8am, but Brizzle will be good too provided LJ hasn't been given the boot by then.

Which players do you expect to shine this season? Hamill, who I think is a top end Champ player on his day. Hope SSW gets a bag full of goals to shut up the miserable doom mangers on here. Absolutely pathetic. I think Josh Scowen could be a surprise star this year if played in central midfield.

Which players do you doubt can make the step up? I don't have any worries about anyone to be honest. All deserved their chance to shine and will get my 100% support. Just hope the rumours about Alf go away and he is happy to stay.

Who are the sides to fear? Newcastle and Norwich will walk this league. I think Wednesday will go well too.

Are there any opposition players you're looking forward to seeing? All 23 goalkeepers picking the ball out of the net. Otherwise no, not particularly, I go to see my boys!

What off-field area of the football club do you feel needs improving the most? Pre match, it's absolutely dead. No incentive to get to the ground before 2.55. Also, sort the car park out as its like the dodgems after a game.

Are you excited about a new scoreboard? Yes provided it's a video board and not a replacement for the postage stamp size one we have now. Hoping it provides some much needed pre match entertainment and pays for itself with advertising.

John Stones is sold this summer. What should the club do with any forthcoming monies in your opinion? Pay some back to Mr Cryne, we owe him a few bob. Invest the rest in the club, such as keeping the academy funded for a while. I would keep the existing strategy we have for buying players and don't go mad on fees and wages.

Do you reckon the reds will have another cup run this season? No, last season was a one hit wonder. I do predict we will teach round 3 of the FA cup though!

Where do you think we'll finish this season and why?

18-20th. I think we'll surprise a few teams but the quality of the Champiosnhip and ruthless nature of the most opposing sides may see confidence drain later on in the season. I hope our attacking players will score our way to safety.




Which games are you looking forward to the most?

Fulham and Brentford away, Villa and Newcastle games, the rest aren't too special due to familiarity.



Which players do you expect to shine this season?

I think Roberts will shine once again, Josh Scowen could be progress into a super championship midfielder and Hourihane looks class.



Which players do you doubt can make the step up?

Harsh to single any out at present, but I have question marks over Winnall and the full backs.




Who are the sides to fear?

The obvious ones are the likes of Newcastle/Norwich etc. But I think we should be wary of the likes of Fulham, QPR, Cardiff, Birmingham. They may seem average but still have players capable of burying under-performing teams on any given day.



Are there any opposition players you're looking forward to seeing?

To be perfectly honest, not really. No one stands out as particularly special.



Which sides do you expect to see in bother this season?

I think we'll struggle, so us to an extent. Rotherham I think will run out of steam this season, I don't see Burton having enough to survive neither. Preston and Blackburn may be down there, Forest are in a mess and Huddersfield could go either way.




Will Hecky still be our manager/head coach at the end of the season?

Unless he gets targetted by bigger clubs should we perform well, I hope so. For him not to be it would mean we'd either abandoned our plans and forgot the last six months, or we'd been on a run so unspeakably awful a change was utterly necessary. Btw, I'd keep him even if we finished bottom, provided we looked competitive.

13,500. I think our home gates will be pretty stable, especially given the prices. The away followings will dictate.

It would have been Newcastle hands down, but it's a Tuesday night. Depending on their fortunes, Leeds or Wednesday will proabably both bring the most.

I cant remember if there's a dull Tuesday night game in winter, so from memory, either QPR in August or Reading. I'll say Reading. Burton might be a shout if they are struggling badly.
