Just looking at some old results and didn't expect our record against Port Vale to be so bad! 14/02/2006: Barnsley 1 - 1 Port Vale 14/01/2006: Port Vale 3 - 2 Barnsley 23/04/2005: Port Vale 5 - 0 Barnsley 06/11/2004: Barnsley 1 - 2 Port Vale 28/09/2004: Port Vale 1 - 0 Barnsley 20/03/2004: Barnsley 0 - 0 Port Vale 13/09/2003: Port Vale 3 - 1 Barnsley Anybody else think of any teams classed as bogey sides apart from the obvious answer of Coventry (even though we have started beating them at Oakwell now!)?
We generally don't do too well Against Leicester, Norwich, Cardiff, Coventry, QPR, Wednesday. We generally don't do well away at: Birmingham, West Brom, S****horpe, London in general (Palace, West Ham, QPR, to a certain extent Charlton, from memory, Brentford).
Re: We generally don't do too well Don't think we've too bad a record at Palace. Probably a better record there than most grounds we've played at. Remember in the 80's we usually won or drew at Selhurst Park and the Palace fans thought we were their bogey team. Probably not as good in recent times but then again our away record in general is piss poor and every team away from home is a bogey team.
Our managers must dread facing teams on losing runs, I know I do. The outcome is almost a forgone conclusion.
