First things first, I am the first to giver Davey a hard time for some of his tactics and team selections. However viewed on its own, todays game gave me much optimism. Davey's tactics were spot on; Mifsud upfront on his own with Hammil on the left and "Boggo" playing an inside right position with 3 in the middle, and what a 3. They were all brilliant, Colace is a genious, Anderson pulled off some tricks which wouldn't be out of place in the Brazil team, and still saved Hassell's ass about 50 times and Teymourian was solid. We killed them in midfield, end of story. So, now, who to drop for golden boy JCR? Now, I'm no mind reader, but in his article in the program today JCR was spraying his shorts about "The Gaffer" giving him "chance to go wherever I want to" and "He has given me the confidence and freedom to go out and play (wherever I want)" makes me think that Davey is going to drop someone (Hammil?) and let JCR run around like a spare K**b for the rest of the season. Which will no doubt P** off players like Colace, who on todays performance with Anderson they are clearly more suited for a central role. DOES DAVEY HAVE THE STONES TO PUT JCR ON THE WING OR LEAVE HIM ON THE BENCH????????? I think we know the answer. Todays game was a triumph, but I fear, a tragic triumph, because it may well have been the lesson that Davey cannot learn, we shall see.
Don't be surprised if Andranik gets dropped and JCR and hammill play out on wings with old Colace and anderson partnership in middle. I'd personally consider leaving JCR on bench until needed. With Cardiff's pace I'd leave Darren on bench too after today's solid display by Dennis
Golden Boy? Look i'm not a big JCR fan at all, but he's got to go back in simply because of the goals he gets.
You were watching a different match to me mate. I wasn't impressed with Souza today, but then again he's not played for a while.
