    No He's Not...

Coventry have signed veteran midfielder Dennis Wise until the end of the season on a pay-per-play deal.

AND is highly-rated at this level..

I'd definitely take him over Windass.

No. He's been put on transfer list. Holloway wants money for him.

    Evo's on his way!</td><td> </td><td valign="top"><span class="t7">Evatt On His Way Out?</span>

Reports today suggest Ian Evatt may be leaving the club just 6 months after signing from Chesterfield. Meanwhile the reserves drew 2-2 at Wycombe yesterday and the FA have at last creaked into action over the Stoke incident, but it's Rangers who find themselves in hot water.</td></tr></tbody></table><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%" border="0"><tbody><tr><td>
According to a report in the Kilburn Times Ian Holloway has told five senior players that they can leave Loftus Road. Aaron Brown has already joined Swindon Town, Marcus Bean, Adam Miller and Ugo Ukah have long been on borrowed time but the name of Ian Evatt appearing on the list has surprised many supporters.

Holloway's massive squad has struggled with injuries and suspensions this season and failed to string any kind of form together. After the defeat by Brighton on Boxing Day Holloway promised he would shake things up and start cutting away the dead wood.

Evatt and Bean were both dropped from the squad immediately and Rangers won their next game at home to Cardiff.

The rejection of Evatt, Rangers' only cash signing last summer, has come as surprise to many supporters who saw him as a partner, and possible long term replacement for Danny Shittu.

He arrived in the summer from Chesterfield for £150k. Then Chairman Bill Power and Gianni Paladini flew to Majorca where Evatt was holidaying to complete the deal when word of interest from other clubs spread.

The former Derby man played for his new side in the Ibiza tournament but then picked up an injury that ruled him out of the first few league matches. He made his debut in the League Cup at Northampton but was the victim of a typically crass piece of refereeing from everybody's favourite incompetent official Andy Hall who sent Evatt off just before half time.

This denied him a home debut against Sheffield Wednesday but he returned for the televised match at Wolves where Holloway bizarrely selected him at right back with Marcus Bignot at right wing. It's hard to imagine what Holloway hoped to achieve with the selection but the team looked out of its depth throughout and were lucky to escape with just a 3-1 defeat.

Evatt was dropped from the starting eleven but featured again in the home defeat by Leeds when he replaced the injured Mauro Milanese in the first half. After that he was a regular in the squad and racked up 18 appearances in Hoops before consecutive defeats by Coventry and Brighton had Holloway looking for scapegoats.

&quot;Ian Evatt was captain at his old club, so he's not a nugget - but he knows how I feel about what he's been giving me so far. You need to have a lot of pace and be confident in your pace. I've put him in the reserves and it's up to him how he responds to that.

&quot; He had a lot of clubs after him in the summer and, if I do manage to bring in other defenders during the window, he'll be further down the pecking order,&quot; Holloway told the Kilburn Times.

The newspaper reports that Holloway will now look to move Evatt on and reinvest the money into the team.

Marcus Bean spent the first part of this season on loan at Swansea where he impressed and seemed keen to stay. Injuries to Lomas, Bircham and Doherty saw him return to the QPR starting side in December but he rarely recaptured his League One form in the Championship and his departure has been on the cards for a long time.

Bean is out of contract this summer and it's doubtful he would renew it even if QPR offered him terms. He has been linked with Gillingham this week, though a return to Swansea looks the most likely option. Rangers are unlikely to receive a fee for him.

&quot;I think everyone needs to know where they stand. With everyone else I've got in midfield and Scott Donnelly coming through as well, I don't think Marcus will be patient enough.

&quot; He came back and had a little chance to get back in the first team, but the fact is I chose Evatt and Beanie and we lost a couple of games, then I left them out and we started winning again,&quot; Holloway said.

Adam Miller hasn't featured in the starting eleven since the 0-0 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in September. A died in the wool QPR fan, Miller signed for the R's just over a year ago and made a bright start in the first team with a man of the match performance in a defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Sadly as time has gone on he hasn't shown sufficient progress to impress Holloway and he spent two months this season on loan at League Two side Peterborough.

It seems a shame that a young player who won awards for his performances at Conference level is being released without ever getting a chance to show what he can do in his natural position of central midfield. Still, there's no room for sentiment in football.

Aaron Brown spent the first month of the season on loan at Cheltenham but failed to make their starting eleven regularly and returned to Loftus Road. He featured in the disastrous defeats at Northampton and Coventry before being dropped to the reserves. He's spent the last month on loan at Swindon and the Robins have now made this move permanent.

Ugo Ukah is also on his way out of Loftus Road, if the club can find a taker for the Nigerian defender. Ukah arrived at Loftus Road on a three year contract in the summer but after a sub appearance at Coventry, and a humiliating display at Northampton, Ian Holloway has seen enough.

The club are still paying the ultimate waste of space Dean Sturridge over three grand a week with the former Wolves man struggling to agree terms with the club for his release. Sturridge managed just one start, no goals and countless hamstring injuries in an embarrassing nine months at Loftus Road which prompted the club to try and ship him out in December.

Sadly an agreement cannot be reached and funds will continue to drain into the striker's pocket until a deal is brokered.

Holloway will attempt to use the money freed up by any departures to strengthen his squad although he admits this is going to be difficult.

&quot;I thought I'd managed to get a striker in on loan a couple of days ago, but then his club changed their mind. The problem is that, with this stupid window, everyone's chasing the same players. I don't think I'm going to have any money to buy, but I'm trying to get some loans, preferably young players,&quot; Holloway said.

Ukah, Evatt, Miller and Bean all started for the reserves at Wycombe on Tuesday. </td></tr></tbody></table>
