the board at barnsley will have a lot to answer for if it all goes tits up this season and we get relegated. I'm a firm believer that the chairman runs the buisness side of things n the manager runs the football side but it would appear that at barnsley the board run everything. sack the manager n then bring in some loan players to disturb the team even more, well done! were stuck like this til janurary now so i do hope we get that little bit of luck on the field we deserve now so we can at least pick up a few more points this season. dont want to be pessimistic n i'll back the lads 100% but i'm extreamly pissed off with the board at barnsley football club!
Its not even the Chairman or the board that is running it unless Cryne has appointed himself to the board.
erm, we're in the bottom 2 and quickly losing touch. i think relegation was assured with the static nature of what was going on. results dont lie. could you see AR changing anything? now, if we stay up, thats 100% to do with the board and new manager.
But they've sacked the manager because he wanted to go with the existing squad? We clearly needed to strengthen. I think they would have looked foolish if they had sacked the manager and then NOT brought in any players before the deadline. I think the chief scout Martin Wilkinson will have done most, if not all, of the work of identifying the players we see being brought in on loan. As for the "well done we're stuck with this til january" - we're talking about 6 weeks. The new manager will hopefully be in a position to bring in his own players at this point.
RE: Its not even the Chairman or the board that is running it Great post,at last a supporter with some brains.
i agree, the board have no options but to strengthen the squad, I too think wilko will be advising among others
Correct, we couldn't sit around and do nothing as a club. I reckon the scout has identified the players and has told the Chairman and he has tried to do the deals. I would not be surprised if all these were run past the caretaker manager in the meantime as he is the guy that has to train them and manage them.
ritchies sacking is looking more and more of a good idea every time i look on here that makes a lot of sense. get some new blood in to shake the team up and make them realise their places are not guaranteed, but all in the short term, so the new manager isn't stuck with no wage fund by them taking it up permanantly. Hopefully the final piece of the jigsaw will be getting a good manager, who can then set about getting his own players in in January.
Sexist! You'll be getting this board closed down you will. We are being monitored don't you know. (Warning, extreme sarcasm alert)
RE: Sexist! I've got to laugh...poor old Maxwell gets the job of monitoring this BBS...just at the time when the club start sacking the manager and signing new players and we all start speculating on who the new manager will be. It could only happen here ff ff (lol) (lol)
