In answer to the other thread Where did it all go wrong SPACKMAN.To coin a phrase from Pete Doyle this man should be made to wear bells so people can hear him coming.

    Gudjon?

The guy who, despite having absolutely no money to spend, despite the club being under a transfer embargo and unable to sign players and despite the fact we were in administration, got the team into the play-off places for the majority of time during his tenure. That Gudjon Thordarson?

I certainly wouldn't try to argue he was perfect

After we sold Fallon and Gorre picked up an injury he found it difficult to get a balanced side. But there's no way on earth he could be described as one of the worst mangers we've had. What he achieved in the first half of that season was almost miraculous considering the circumstances.

Has to be Hart or Spackman.

    Definitely Spackman

Spent an absolute fortune on third division players. Why buy one good player when you can buy 13 crap ones for the same price and pay 'em exorbitant wages. Donovan and Crookes for starters. Beginning of the end when he left.

    Disagree there

It's not all about statistics when it comes to best/worst managers, you have to look at what players he had, how many players he brought/could bring in ect ect ect...

We was in admin and couldnt bring in any players and he had to stick with a sh*te squad consisting of Spackman and Parkin signings

For me, Spackman could bring in players and had backing from the Board but he brought in possible the worst players we've seen down at t'well so he's definately the worst manager for me, followed by Parkin.
