Yep I was there. It was 0 - 3 after about 15 minutes I think. I remember arguing with a mate who wanted to go home - I persuaded him to stay, and the rest is history...
Don't see us getting owt today though.. but on the bright side I'm working till two and won't have to watch..
Remember it well. Think Banks got one back before the break then we scored 3 times kicking into the Ponty end. Can only remember Cunningham’s diving header that was the winner, not sure who got the other 2. I think Cunningham’s debut had been in a 2-1 win at Newcastle the week before.
I was there. West Stand lower behind the dugout. I can still see the look on Malcolm Macdonald's face at the end. Also, and I know it's wrong but I was convinced we were down to 10 men. That's age for you
Yes - still one of my favourite memories. That Hunter team was so good to watch. It just felt like it was wave after wave of attack. There was an inevitability that we would get the winner.
I was there standing in the old Brewery stand. Amazing how quickly your emotions can turn. At 3-0 down I was pretty much ready to give up and go home. Unbelievable game. There is a chance Fulham could be 3-0 up after 15 mins again. Though probably take them longer to get to 3. Not a snowball in hells chance of us scoring 4
My memory is a Cunningham towering header, about 5 feet off the ground, rather than a diving header. I have literally nothing to back this up though.
I was there too. Some great memories of Fulham from that period when you throw in the win at their place with ten men and Glynn Riley in goal.
I was there! Serm to recall getting in ten minutes after kick-off to be told we were 3-0 down. We thought we were the subjects of a wind up lol. Friday night, 80/81 at Craven Cottage, oh what a night that was! Heavy snow in Barnsley and regular calls to see if the game was still on. No wonder the Fulham officials thought we were nuts! It was quite warm, and there some of us were, in those lumberjack coyts of the era
