For posting stuff on tinterweb, heard it up at training this morning that "Shep" had got someone in for putting stuff out and banned them for 6 matches down at "Twell"
no apparantly it was a supporter and he had 6 tickets for home games torn out of his book, dunno how true it is, but thats what i got told
If its for telling lies OK but If its for insider information then whoever spilled the information needs disciplining. Cant punish anybody for critisicm or stating the truth and I would imagine to withdraw the 6 match tickets is illegal
if its a supporter, i think its absolute rubbish, cant see how the club could do that.... but as always, i stand ot be corrceted... however, if ti was a player or staff member, maybe tipping off people about possible signings etc... then some sort of 'internal ban' would be fine.
Seth Bennet ? What next ? Club spies in't groggers listening to folk chat before a game and then reporting back ?

I'd be surprised if it was a supported suffering a match ban for simply posting stuff on the Internet. I would imagine the club has the legal right to refuse entrance to Oakwell for pretty much any reason it likes but not even BFC would be so autocratic as to ban someone for saying nasty things about the club. Even if it was libellous or offensive you'd think the club would go down the litigation route before anything else. If it was an employee it may be a different story - most people's employment contracts carry a clause about activity detrimental to the company and how it is punishable.
NOBODY WHATSOEVER...!!!! Somebody is stirring. The club haven't banned anyone at all. Gordon Shepherd's just had someone from the media on the phone trying to find out the details. He's asked me to point out that none of it is true. THe police are prosecuting someone at the moment who will get a ban from oakwell but that's to do with racists chanting (he thinks) and the police have brought those proceedings about (not the club).
Your deduction's a bit ***** As one of the siteadmins of this BBS, he phoned me to let me know it was a load of crap and asked if I would let people know. Thought you would have realised that DT!
Or . . . . . . that people used to complain that nobody listened to the fans, so some people who run a fans' forum made an effort on their behalf to open up channels of communication with the club.
Good For The Club Racist chanting has no place at Oakwell and it's good to see the club doing something about it. I wonder if the copper filming the away fans on Saturday got some of the racist chanting that was going on.
RE: Good For The Club is calling Donny fans "Pikeys" racist and chanting the wheels on your house go round and round
RE: Good For The Club 100% agree but some of the more risque chants are also hilarious but can get you thrown out and banned
