Never saw it

Gid a quid for some collection just after the turnstyles though, maybe this is a good place to stand as everybody passes them.

Putting petitions or collections in little rooms under the stand isn't even going to get noticed unless you knew it was there, Come on supporters trust get amongst it rather than hideing in a little room, that most people wouldn't enter because they think it is private.

GET IN THE GROUND AND DO IT!

    RE: Never saw it

People were out with clip boards and petitions all around the ground, including outside the shop east stand and west stand. In total there were 11 lists around the ground (outside). There was also a petition outside the trust office and not hidden inside it.

Perhaps it may be useful to try to catch people inside the ground but judging by the numbers who signed the petition we did not do too bad a job.

Therefore your comment that we were hiding in a little room was incorrect. There will be further opportunities to sign the petition.

The little room as you call it is also not private it is a supporters office where you can come along and ask about the trust, join up or yes even sign the petition:eek:

    Oh, well then

mate I apologise, its just I didn't notice anyone with a clip board and I walked past the side of the east stand and around to the back of the ponty at about 2.45.

I'll make the effort to come in and sign at the next match as I am all in favour of a museum.

    RE: Oh, well then

There should be a petition permanently in the club shop, I will check.

I agree that catching people just as they enter ground may be a good idea, but the stewards may not be impressed if we cause a back log at the turnstiles.

I do hope that the funding comes through from the lotteries peopla, after all they support some daft ideas why not Barnsleys landmark idea, it would be a superb tribute to barnsley and there is some good stuff that could go in the football museum that most supporters would love to see

    cheers

    Didn't see it

Walked round the East Stand to the Ponty End at 2:30 didn't see anyone with clipboards. Brilliant idea though and I would have though everyone will sign it if they spot it. Bottom of the steps before people enter the gangways would be a good place 'cos everyone would need to pass that way.

    RE: Didn't see it

I think this may be part of the problem. We had up to 12 clip boards out, to cover over 9,500 supporters.

This indicates that we need more people to be out with clip boards and pages for people to sign. Volunteers are always welcome to help, the more the merrier.

At the end of the day, I would agree with what has been said that most people would be happy to sign the petition, but we need to get them to see it.

For those who visit the club shop during the week, there should be a petition there for people to sign

I've just read half of these posts thinking "what the ****?" when I realised it's about a MUSEUM petition. I've got that used to Windy's rantings about Muslims that I'd read it as MUSLIM petition and was wondering what it was all about.

Who had the signature that said "never underestimate the predictability of stupidity"?
