    Me...

Tina i think GS is now fully aware that he needs a experienced manager , firstly for the development and respect of the players especially as Devaney and Howard have demonstrated the "clique" there was with Ritchies boys, and secondly to appease the fans who have been split on who is actually being honest with the fans, if GS brings in a Megson or Dowie then there will be stability and ambition shoiwn to all

You got me really confused there!

I just have this nagging feeling that they will choose Davey. I am not saying he will be bad for us or anything like that, but he ticks all the relevant boxes that Cryne mentioned in his interview with Radio Sheffield.
Wearing suits and not being afraid to drop Howard and Devaney - Ritchie's mates, shows a steely resolve.
Anything that can make us look more professional as a Club in the long run, I agree with wholeheartedly.
And, no doubt he will be a cheaper option!
Hope you are right and that we do go for experience

I think there's a good chance of that. He has moved very quicky to get the staff in to assist him in the rebuilding and is addressing our problems on the training ground.

He has also shown he is prepared to make difficult decisions in leaving Howard and Devaney out.

The midfield were solid yesterday, if unspectacular. They gave us two banks of 4 across the park which gave Colgan little to do during the game.

A few more wins in the bag and I'm sure we will see a more attacking formation.

Staying in The Championship is now looking viable.

Think that he is in a good position to have a chance but

GS yesterday said they would assess the situation only when they had assessed the applications, however during that time Davey has a chance to make his mark. What it comes down to for me really is if he is good at his job so what if we did'nt know a lot about him, better than a known name who has failed numerous times at various other clubs.Having said that if there is a top bloke amongst the applicants who is known I HOPE IT DOESNT COME DOWN TO PENNY PINCHING BY THE BOARD.

I think he's already got it

The no. 2 hasn't come from Bury 'on loan' and he's Davey's appointment.

    Me.

Davey came across after his interveiw on radio Sheffield that he is a determined and no- nonsense manager, who could have quite easily given in to the fans demand for Brian Howard to come off the bench yesterday.

But he stuck by his selections and substitutes and in the end it payed off. The thing is, there is a clique down at Oakwell, but the players must realized that the Ritchie days have gone, and they should be picked on merit and not favouritism. I think some of them quickly were brought back to earth on his team selection. If he did upset a few players then he should't let that worry him to much. It's all about results now, and if Howard and co can pick their dummies up and help the team over this crucial period, which as a good player that he his. Then the prospect for BarnsleyFC after the Ritchie era may well bare fruit. (Hopefully).:)
