This was one of the worst matches...ever. From a Barnsley point of view of course. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/3507665.stm At that point, I knew things couldnt get 'much' worse...
Aye...just shows how far we've come... That was the doldrums. Especially getting HAMMERED by Grimsby.
Not as bad as Stoke away a few years back. Airy picked me up in his Mk 10 Milk Float and we got there ayf an hour late. He'd no bloody money forra pie so I ed to buy him a brace and then, after we'd lost he gets all peevish wi a Stoke fan that asked him for a pint of goldtop at the lights on the ring road. Got home at 8 int morning cos I ad to help him art wi his round. Never, ever agean.
I went. Sat next to Kevin Betsy's Mother that day as well, which didn't go down well when the fans started hurling abuse at him!
RE: I was there but I thought WBA last season was worse nt Yes, but at Grimsby - that WAS our strongest side lol! We had the reserves out at WBA and just weren't bothered. The Grimsby match actually had some bearing.
RE: I was there but I thought WBA last season was worse nt Think by that point Gudjon had thrown the towel in as he wasn't getting the support he deserved and knew that Ridsdale wanted to bring his own man in
**** day, freezing cold, got lost in Goole on way to game wish i hadnt bothered, WBA away in 89 was as bad, Reading, was it 79/80
How on earth do you get lost in Goole? Only 6 street in the town, lol. What were you doing in Goole anyway?
