    Edit: the answer appears to be Lewin Nyatanga, almost 6 years ago.

    What a weird weekend that was. I seem to remember that we beat Portsmouth on the Saturday and got beat at Ipswich by a simular score just a couple of days later on the Bank Holiday Monday

    He did, Watford I think. I also seem to remember he got 2 away to Rochdale in the cup in a blizzard. And 2 in another game where he played up front from the start along with full-back Dave Booth. Bloody long time ago though, a real memory challenge without googling!

    I was asked earlier if I knew when the last Barnsley defender to score two in a game was.

    I still haven't got the answer, but the clues are: he is a left back, and it's 'about 20 years ago'.

    It was Watford. 2-0 down to their high-flying team early on then Winnie was pushed upfront and scored a brilliant hat trick. Included a flying volley if memory serves.

    Found it! The last centre half to score a brace, 14th March 2015.

    Lewin Nyatanga in a 3-1 away win at Oldham. One of Lee Johnson's first games in charge.

    I remember Larry May scoring twice in his last match for us, a 3-0 home win in an FA Cup 4th Round replay against Aldershot, January 1987.

    The last centre half to score a brace for us at this level, was Arjan De Zeeuw. On the opening day of the 98/99 season. At home to West Brom.
