    That (i think) John Hendrie plucked from non league obscurity into the the championship/League 1 whatever it was called then.

    Possibly something Turner

    wasn't very good but Scored winner away to Ipswich,

    i was at ipswich that day when he scored, drove down in a 4 gear fiesta with a few mates and took us 7 hours to get home cos engine kept over heating, ah the good old days!

    I thought that was a lad called Evans, mate

    Signed a year later by Bassett. I thought Turner was still at, or just graduated from, university when we signed him. Either that, or my mind is yet again something similar to Swiss cheese!!

    He was at Liverpool Uni if memory serves me reight.

    He use to pull faces, or charge at defenders when they were going to win an easy header to put them off. Wierd, but funny at the time and actually worked once.

    i remember him having pace but thats about it, sure it was his debut against ipswich when he scored against them

    It was against Ipswich, he made 2 appearances and 11 sub appearances and scored against Ipswich like you said.

    Good job he was plucked from non-league obscurity otherwise people wouldn't be able to remember him!
