A few of us said that Davey would be the next Manager some weeks ago. Not much we can do about it now , only to support the guy. (blaze)

the fact that we have chosen davey is not what bothers me

because, as I said on here this morning, I would love to be proven wrong in my fears concerning Davey's shortcomings. I believe we can stay up, I just think it'll be somewhat more difficult after today.

 

I hope we're all wrong BUT

The horrible thing is I don't think he's going to keep us up AND the really menacing thing is that the man who promised to bring in quality players is the same man who promised to bring in an ambitious appointment of an experienced manager. </p>

Iget the feeling that Shepherd isn't bring in any quality players.</p>

I've already stated on another thread that he could be the next bright young manager.

The disappointment on the board stems from the fact that no-body knows that, he just feels like a cheap 'Last Choice' option, and he may just as easily turn out to be terrible.

I know that he has loads of qualifications, but so did Nigel Spackman.

Me, definitely. I'd loved to be proved wrong.

I was wrong about Spackman and was man enough to admit it. I still say I was right in saying that Ritchie was the cheap option, but I didn't question his ability. Davey? Cheap option, undoubtedly. Ability? That's the big question.

 

No, the disappointment is more to do with

the fact that it was obvious to anybody with a brain that the job was Davey's from the moment he was allowed to appoint an assistant.</p>

That and the club Board's belief that it could string its customers along with a **** and bull story about a search for an experienced Manager when they knew all along it was ******.</p>

I'm very, very sad that they hold us in such contempt.</p>
