i would, considering the abuse he got when he first took the job i think hes TURNING the club into an established championship outfit. would be back to square one if he left.
well...yes must admit I would be dismayed yeah yeah yeah I give the guy grief when we lose , thats my right asa fan. but seriously he is showing promise. It would be bad if he went and became a real top manager before he got us on a good footing.
if it is this article you are refering to http://www.barnsleyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1339649,00.html it is daveys duty to say no
he should and will stay to prove a point. not all his signings have been bad ones. some admittedly yes, but even brian clough wasnt the best in the transfer market! and i suppose no one wanted to go to wembley last season?
RE: Would I F**k nt Tell us at least his initials, some on here would be well able to do the rest....
FA Cup Semi Final. Last season. I'll repeat that: The FA Cup Semi Final. Anyone who doesn't rate Davey as a manager is just a thick stubborn stupid cu.nt
I think it would be a shame for us to lose him now after we have given him his first shot at management. Although i do slag him off on a saturday night after some of his decisions he makes if you stand back and look at the progress we have made we cant really do anything but praise him, kept us up twice and took us to a F.A Cup semi-final which is something i dint think id see anytime soon.
Although some of his signings have been bad ones, Odejayi, Johnson and such he has also brought in Muller, Macken, Hume, Anderson, JCR, Foster, kozluk, Souza and Moore all of which are head and shoulders above most of what we had at the club when he arrived. To lose him now would set us back 2 years and that would be a travesty.

Where in the league tho? after signing his own players we still finshed just above the relegation spots. I agree the semi final was nice, but we were a lucky side during that cup run and the luck ran out at Wembley. against Chelsea we deserved the win, the other matches ? The league is the priority and we hardly improved in an ordinary league after all those signings.
Davey said judge me on my team. I judge apart from a lucky cup run that team last season was'nt good enough
Stand well back and be ready to run So who in the Championship made better overall signings on the same budget ??
A bad manager wouldn't have been capable of steering a team on mostly nobodys to the FA Cup Semi Final. We stayed up despite losing our best 2 players for half the season. Not all his signings have worked, but were moving in the right direction and within tight budget constraints. It might be paper talk, but his name is linked not cos he's been lucky, its on merit. Only a stubborn fckr would refuse to admit that.
