Why do we have to choose?

No offence intended here HT but why do you always spell Cranie's name as Craine?

And Steele without a doubt. A keeper of his quality doesn't come along very often. Defenders like Cranie are pretty easy to come by (we've just released one better than him in my opinion). Chris O'Grady is good but can he keep that up for an entire season? In other words he's more of a gamble like all strikers are. And Perkins again is good but there are plenty of midfield workhorses out there. Dawson for example. Hassell can also play Perkins' position.

I'd like to keep all four and think they're all good players but if I could only keep one it'd be Steele.

Just thought it would be interesting to see what people thought.

Also if Steele doesn't take a cut and it get's out then the other three could demand the same. If they do then maybe we'll lose the others.

Out of those you listed, I'll go with Steele.

But of all the players at the club, I'll go with Mellis, just ahead of Hassell and Steele.

Players are always on different amounts anyway and always have been. You could argue that if Steele takes a large cut and it gets out then nobody will want to sign for us as they will view us as a club in decline having to make cuts to survive.

    You silly sod :)

Question for you. You can only play one of Perkins and Dawson. Which do you choose?

Also you can only play one of Wiseman and Cranie. Again which do you choose?

Easy choice or a tough decision? I'm feeling nosey and they were the first players I could think of to compare.

perkins over Dawson. Easy. Said it before but depending on pre season i wouldn't be surprised if it was perkins digby mellis in a three next season

Cranie over wiseman a little more difficult.

it would depend on the opposition. if its going to be a midfield battle then Dawson and cranie. If my scouts have done there job right it it required some fine skills and plenty of attacking and defending then Perkins and wiseman.

I think if people prefer other players to Steele, it means that Phil was right all along. Steele is rubbish.

Couple that with the fact that Steele is bound to become disruptive because he's refusing to take an unsubstantiated pay cut, I think the natural conclusion is get shut of Steele.

I love Foz as much as the next bloke but are you genuinely suggesting he's a better player than Cranie?
Fvck me! I know its a game of opinions and Foz has been an excellent servant but really???
