RE: its a forum of Barnsley supporters

I wasn't trying to be contentious - or trying to come between mates - just thought if the site could be seperated, then it might make it more of a seamless transaction to enter debate, whether it be football, or non football issues. cheers. (Y)

A good idea to a point

but the trouble is you'd miss stuff if you were only looking in one forum. Fact is there's nowt much happening in the world of football at the moment.

We've tried it before with the football threads archive which is still there

And it was an amazing flop.

the strength of this site in my opinion

is the amazing variety and being able to ask whatever you want. It's what makes it worth visiting daily rather than, say 2-3 times a week when there is football news

    Welcome to close season

No football = no football talk = no forum.

The format has worked for years. If it ain't broke and all that...

If there are topics that you are not interested in just by-pass them like many of us do on here. You only have to read what you want. So just pick up the football threads if that's what you want.
As Revvie P indicates, it's because it is the close season that there are very few football topics up for discussion at the moment.
