Well seen as the board are quick to pull the trigger all the time. Let them actually have a go and see if they can do better.
It seems this has turned into a joke thread but if we're being serious, Nigel Adkins. Don't think we'd get him, but I'd try. If it's the other type of thread, then I'd go for a joint team of Ian Woan and Keith Brown.
I wasn't. I'm serious. Let pat and his son or whoever makes these rediculous decisions sit in the dug out and do it.
Re: Does it matter ? Just came on this thread to post exactly the same. It simply does not matter because we'll hardly even get to know him before he'll be gone. It won't be different this time, it'll be exactly the same.
Well then like I say, in answer to the initial question, Nigel Adkins. Out of interest though, what has Danny Wilson done at any point of this last tenure to conclude that removing him is a 'ridiculous decision'? Continually sacking managers might not work - but leaving one in position who has shown little aptitude for this division, with us and in his last job too, would be the ridiculous thing. He was the wrong appointment in the first place, but having got the gig deserved a good go. He was given a fair crack I'd say. It isn't just results, it's the nature of the performances and the complete lack of tangible improvement that bothers me. No fire, little effort, no shape, no style, no obvious tactics or philosophy. The board have a lot to answer for, I agree. But it's the appointments made in the first place that are in question, not today's sacking. I will always remember how good it was to be a Barnsley supporter under Wilson, the improvement straight away after Anderson, the unbelievable season 96/97, then the premier league, the fa cup. I'll remember him for that rather than leaving us for Wednesday or the last 18 months. It seems to me that sentiment from the past has kept his support levels amongst some fans higher. Similar to Stuart Pearce at forest - anyone else would have been pushed five or six games earlier. I think it's the right call. The thing now is to bring in the right man as his replacement so we don't do this all over again in 18 months. With the right manager this club will be more than competitive in this league year on year, I don't expect promotion as a necessity, but at least be credible contenders. Not looking over our shoulders all the time.
Couldn't give a **** any more. Who cares, they will be gone by Easter 2016 if they are lucky, possibly before Christmas and round we go again. Fecking angry tonight. 3 year plan my arse.
