The squad should have been strengthened in the summer, whilst I admired Ritchie for giving his best 11 the chance in the Championship he should have been wise enough to have added at least four more players to his squad.Should Shephard have acted sooner when Ritchie made it clear that these players who got us up in his opinion were good enough to keep us up when everybody knew we didn't have enough depth.Should P.C have had more involvement in the running of the club the only time he opened his mouth publicly was pre-season and the day Ritchie was sacked.I'm not sure if blaming Simon Davey is the right thing to do hes come in to an already struggling team with a mandate to strenghthen and keep us in the Champoinship, if this had been done earlier it would have been a totally differant scenario.Davey will be judged on his signings and where we finish at the end of the season, what he hasn't got is time on his side.As for bringing an experianced manager in its very hard when the slip has already started, look at both West Ham and Charlton both appointed experianced managers but both looking nailed on for relegation. So at the end of the day who really is to blame.?
at the end of the day, it was the summer when we should have set the squad up for this league and if the manager wasn't doing it, the board should have forced his hand.
I'm not blaming Davey just yet, but the way the team is playing, hardly inspires me with confidence.

well its all a lost cause now. Our relegation ticket is booked. sorry but I see no other end call me a moaner, call me a pessimist, but I am not in a minority for sure.I have resigned myself to relegation.I only hope its not a one way journey as I see a good many teams in the league below us that can and will give us a good seeing to....I have no faith at all in a bounce back next season from Division one....I fear we will drop even further.
to be honest yesterday reminded of
the parkin era, the spackman era, the Hart era, but most worryingly the HODGES era. We didn't have a clue when we had the ball and couldn't string two passes together.

I sincerely hope we do, but I am totally unconvinced. people will come on now and call me all manner of names and hurl insult and obscenities my way as is usual for ones in denial. I have taken off my rose tinted glasses many many years ago and look at it in a more black and white world.... and its not a pretty sight....Truth is often hard and hurtful to face.Sorry I see no future at Oakwell thats Rosy
Who's to blame............Well.............its Shep appoints Ritchie Shep then has problems communicating with Ritchie Shep then can't get Ritchie to strengthen the squad Ritchie gets us promoted Shep cannot now sack Ritchie, although he would like to Ritchie takes us down to relegation place Ritchie still refuse to buy players or get players in on loan The rot has set in Shep sacks Ritchie Shep appoints Davey Team performances get worse So Who's fault is it................. Sheps for appointing Ritchie Ritchies for getting us in a relegation fight Daveys for not being able to motivate the players One things for sure - and I was saying the same last season - we wern't good enough to get promotion - we were LUCKY We have now run out of luck
Agree Unfortunately such action would have resulted in the same moaners saying that the board should not interfere with football matters. A sacking of AR before the season started would have resulted in even more. No win.
