i am seriously thinking of not renewing my season ticket next season and cant put my finger on why?
Yes theres been some bad performances but for the last 17 years i have followed the reds home and away (must admit not away as much in the last 5 years) but at the minute i have lost interest in them big time.
I just dont know why does anyone else feel like this or is it just me!

Feelings are the same here im afraid. I will probably hold off until the very last minute next season, see what pre-season brings RE: New signings, players departing etc.

It ain't just you, mate...

I probably will renew 'cos I can't imagine not going to the match but all the goings on this season has left a really bitter taste in my mouth. Just can't get motivated about 'em these days and I was really up for it at the beginning of the season, too...

I must admit it's only the "matchday feeling" keeping me going down. Saying that, it isn't the first time I've felt like this and I've got over it.

The feeling of been let-down is quite strong though, like you say, after the Ritchie / Davey debacle I just felt like packing it all in...

As much as I support Barnsley FC rather than any individual(s)

The way this season has been managed has disillusioned me greatly. The treatment of Andy Ritchie especially.

Exactly - I'm happy to support Davey and the team 'cos I support the Reds but you get the impression all it takes is for anyone of 'em to fall out of favour with the board and we start the merry-go-round all over again.

Too many ego's and too much self-importance has totally killed off the euphoria of promotion...

Never felt further removed from the club than I do now. And last season Ritchie and Holden had started to make it seem like the club and fans were all in it together.

Hope Davey's a strong character with his employers that all.

Aye. I've quite a lot of praise for Davey from a certain point of view - he was dropped in the sh*te when all's said and done - but, like I said earlier, there's still a nasty taste in my mouth about it all. And I'm not just talking about the lager in the East Stand!

I agree.

Organic carrots are much sweeter than the bog standard ones.
They're like carrots used to be.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Organic stuff is made from puppy dogs tails.
With sugar & spice.

£4.99 for cupboard clips?
You must be kidding.
They're only 99p at Wilkinsons.

We all go through spells like that mate..

as I've said before, the first 30 years are the worst! :D

But the way I look at it, if you put up with the dross and stand by em, every so often they have an upturn and give you a huge amount of pleasure. That's your reward.

You enjoy the good times so much more when you've endured the bad - trust me, it's reight.

Pretty much cut & dried for me, relegation = no renewal of ST

I won't be emotionally blackmailed into watching the dross that was mostly served up during the nightmare 4 year spell in the Alehouse league. I have supported the club for more years than I care to remember (even in the old fourth division) but I was never as low as before the promotion season. At least this season has seen increased crowds and a much better atmosphere which was largely lacking on both accounts in the Alehouse league.

Not for me

I wont renew my season ticket if we head straight back to Alehouse League 1, not with this lot to look forward to.......
