The only way to answer em is...

...remind em who finished the highest. That was decided over a whole season, not just one performance.

Indeed, some Reds fans on seem embarrased about winning

I can't really understand that.

It was a very close game. These best team had over two hours to show themselves and neither could manage it. I can't really accept that the final result was such a travesty.

too right, they got the upper hand through

an extremly lucky goal, and the lack of credit they have been giving Nardies goal is unreal, they then failed to score, as we did and lost, easily, in the penalty shoot out,
were in the champilonship, their not FACT

The best team DID win ...

.. winners in football matches are decided by GOALS and nothing else. If Swansea were the better team they would have scored more goals and not squandered their chances (if anything, it shows they did not deserve to win)

How much possession, chances etc you have is totally irrelevant. If you had the ball for 89mins and the opposition had it for 1min and scored then they would deserve to win.

deserved winners = those who scored most goals = Barnsley = Championship

Go and tell them

to look at the score. 4-3 to Barnsley on pens, that's all that matters.

Exactly. Over the 120 minutes we were the better side, had more posession and created more chances. That's not what wins football matches, scoring goals does that, and while you took your chances we didn't. Simple as. If the roles were reversed I wouldn't give a flying fugg if we'd been outplayed for the entire game but gone on to score a winner off your defenders backside in stoppage time.

What do they mean by best?

In terms of possession of the football? I agree, Swans were better at that.
In terms of goals? Well no - both teams scored 2 and their second was a goalkeeping error.
In terms of points over the season? No, Barnsley got more.
In terms of fans? Well, they had more but were outsung.
In terms of which team is in the higher league? Well, Barnsley, Coca-cola play-off final WINNERS and Championship team.

nuff said.

In football one thing is key - the goal

And we scored more than them when you include the penalties. You have to include them or else why have them?

As we scored more goals than them we won. Quite simple!

We were the 'better side' against...

Bradford away
Bradford home
Chezzie home
Chezzie away
Bournemouth home
Swansea home

and numerous other games - didn't win any of them.
