Did they see the match today? He did okay under constant pressure and pulled off some good saves. Is picking on players the Barnsley mentality?

    Colgan is an easy target

gets a lot of unwarranted abuse - getting loads by me in the wednesday game but I couldn't fault him for any of the goals. We always have a boo boy one who gets picked on - Agnew , Eaden and so on. seem to remember a Mr n Redfearn got loads of stick when he first started playing for Barnsley

    Easily said than done

Colgan has saved far more points than he's given away - good keeper not great at crosses but is good shot stopper and he's great at penalties

I Have Nothing Against Nick But........

i think giving David Lucas a chance is a must. Colgan is way too comfortable knowing he will be playing week in and week out. We have changed the defence so much this season. But the one thing that's remained constant is the keeper who is part of the 2nd worst defensive record in the league. He doesn't comand his box well enough and got nothing near each pen or a couple of the other strikes. I am not knocking him and he is a credit to our team. I just feel we need a change if only for 2 matches say.

Not having a reserve keeper is a bit restrictive! 2 biggest mistakes Ritchie made were not insisting on looking for a new keeper when Darren Ward ran off and not looking for a new centre half when Foster turned us down.Make that 3, not insisting that he wanted Shuker as cover when GS wouldn't sign him (particularly if he knew of the clause in McIndoes contract).

Get the feeling he could do a lot better with some of the goals he concedes, some shots do seem to go straight through him.
