I thought it was a good game. We were the better footballing side but lacked the final product, they were the more physical, experienced side. A good battle.

Just think we are 2-3 experienced players short of being a really good side. Wish we weren't so stubborn about refusing to sign players over the age of 25. Some know-how could really come in useful come the second half of the season.

I'm with you, Matt. It was a decent contest that we dominated in the main, far from boring.

Seems that unless we blow a team away with at least ten goals it's boring. There were some cracking moves today, incidents that prompted spontaneous applause and plenty of effort against am sometimes over-physical Bradford. The ref seemed content to let things flow as much as possible but there were times when we were howling for a free kick. How many times did Crowley get fouled for example?

It's nowhere near the right balance yet but there's plenty of promise. Why do people only see the negatives?

It will come, no doubt about that

Both teams had really good changes and could have won it at the death. I really enjoyed the game.

We are in the winning business.

    And we did not win.

It was a good game. For some reason many on here have posted that Bradford are a crap team. Are they? Look at the bookies odds and you'll find more than half the league less likely to be promoted.

We are indeed 2-3 players short of a really good team (not sure about the experience thing). Many seem to think these players are just going to fall in our hands. They don't - we need to be patient.

If it's ovo turning sour...........we will all see it. I did not find it boring today.

Two corners. Two shots on target. Is that what we pay our money for?

I don't expect us to blow sides away but after all the managerial changes and nine years of watching (mainly) gash, I expect us to be making some progress. Maybe we will soon. But there was no evidence of that today.

    Cos it was.
we had loads of possession but struggled to get it through the seven midfielders to SSW up front who must be mightily pissed off at the negative tactics.

LJ has brought in some great talent (Roberts and Mawson will take some beating in this division) but he needs to show some ambition in his tactics - that today was negative and boring!

I didn't find it boring today, infact I even said these exact words to my dad 'well, we didn't score but I still didn't find it boring at all'.

i thought it was woeful. judging by johnson's post-match, i fear we have very different views on what 'a good advert for the Football League' is..

I think the Barnsley Babes competed very well and were a little unlucky not to nick it.

Having thought about it boring is the wrong word. I like a good nil nil myself. One of my favourite games of all time was a Joe Joyce inspired game against Portsmouth where neither team scored. Today was just so uneventful like a Dido album or a pint of Carling Mediocre and meandering.

We clearly have some good players the system we played stifled them and failed to get the best out of them. We failed to attack with any purpose or speed. Never looked like scoring from open play though as always posed a threat from set pieces.

There are positives but they are balanced against the negatives.

As an entertainment sport it just wasn't entertaining. That's the bottom line. It was occasionally interesting but we have not looked like scoring from open play in either home game.

I don't mind if we win or lose as long as the game is relatively entertaining. Results aren't everything I want a team to be proud of.

it was boring because we constantly knocked it about the back four with very little progress up field. Our build up was so slow it gave them plenty of time to get 11 men behind the ball. We never looked like breaking them down. but they also never really looked like scoring other than scowens mistake

We cant go the whole season relying on set pieces to score goals

Boring is a bit unfair on us today especially on the back of the good win at Millwall, and with that bit of luck it would have gone in late on and we would have nicked another win. I dont want us to struggle and nick wins of course, I want us to dominate and thrash teams but Im honest enough to know that wont happen.

No it's just our injury time effort was the only decent none set piece chance we've had in our last two home games. We don't expect to win every game 5-0 but a few more decent attempts at goal in a game would be nice.
