Why are qualifiers being played on a Monday night

    Wile we're on subject of euros, tonight in Switzerland all advertising boards will be English company's why is this ? Surely it should be alpan & army knives

    Probably to make club sides happier that they have their players back a day earlier for the weekend game than when they were played on tuesdays/wednesdays.

    It's for tv so there's a game almost every night rather than every game all at once and only 1 on tv

    Some games they'll have cameras on both sides of the stadium, allows different advertisements to be shown - seen it when Eurosport have had highlights and cameras were on opposite side to the live footage on English TV.

    Also they will be able to command a higher fee to UK companies as there is a bigger TV audience in England than Switzerland
