Allowed back in stand after going on pitch yet football fans are carted off. Surely it's same offence. Seen it happen in both semi finals of challenge cup

Cos rugby fans arent seen as hooligans and football fans are. Rugby world - chilled and enjoyable. Football world - unorganised and no common sense

The Football Offences Act only applies to football. I think it would be trespass, but that's civil rather than criminal.

Until the Millwall play-off final, the only time I've seen fighting in the crowd at Wembley was at the Challenge Cup Final in 2010 with Warrington and Leeds fans going at each other hammer and tongs, had it been football fans at a cup final it'd have dominated the news for days, as it was there was hardly a mention.

I believe Rugby fans are allowed to drink in the stands as well..I stand to be corrected.

i'm one of the 'they' clan.yes,we can sup in the stands,in fact we can not only sup pnts but also sup 2 and 4 pint pitchers.Kick off on a sunday at Cas is at 3.30,the pubs in cas have been open since 10'30-11.00..nearly as many women attend as do blokes and plenty of both sex's have had a good rinse before the match. Both sets of fans can mix, both sets pillock one another and hardly ever is there any bother.
