maybe its because they can see the pound will be safe... but the EURO may suffer also the main currency of UK ,the GIRO, may suffer
Because I think the majority of their policies, regardless of their policies on immigration, are some of the worst that are available in 'mainstream' politics. If people actually did the minimum amount of research instead of going 'yeah stop all the immigrants coming here' then they would see that UKIP would actually do damage to the 'normal' people of this country by destroying and withdrawing services which are fundamentally British and what make me proud to be from here. More so than what the Tories are currently doing. In my opinion, of course.
the following is straight off ukip's website Issues What We Stand For These are anxious and troubled times. As crisis follows crisis, our politicians do nothing in the face of dangers rearing up all around us. Taxes and Government debt rise. Energy and transport costs soar. Unemployment is too high. The NHS and state education strain under a population increase of 4 million since 2001. Another wave of uncontrolled immigration comes from the EU (this time Bulgaria and Romania). Yet the political class tells us the EU is good for the UK. A gulf has opened between the ruling elite and the public. Because they must all follow Brussels diktats, each of the establishment main parties is now so similar voters have no real choice. The EU controls Immigration, Business and Employment, Financial Services, Fishing, Farming, Energy and Trade. It seeks now to control Law and Order, Foreign Affairs and Tax. Only outside the EU can we start to solve the problems our country faces. Return Power to the UK issues_eu.png • A vote for UKIP is a vote to leave the EU and recover power over our national life. • Free trade, but not political union, with our European neighbours. We are the EU’s largest export market: they depend on us for jobs - not the other way around. • Binding local and national referenda, at the public’s request, on major issues. Protect Our Borders issues_immigration.png • Regain control of our borders and of immigration - only possible by leaving the EU. • Immigrants must financially support themselves and their dependents for 5 years. This means private health insurance (except emergency medical care), private education and private housing - they should pay into the pot before they take out of it. • A points-based visa system and time-limited work permits. • Proof of private health insurance must be a precondition for immigrants and tourists to enter the UK. Rebuild Prosperity issues_prosperity.png • Save £55m a day in membership fees by leaving the EU and give British workers first crack at the 800,000 jobs we currently advertise to EU workers. • No tax on the minimum wage. • Enrol unemployed welfare claimants onto community schemes or retraining workfare programmes. • Scrap HS2, all green taxes and wind turbine subsidies. • Develop shale gas to reduce energy bills and free us from dependence on foreign oil and gas - place the tax revenues into a British Sovereign Wealth Fund. • UKIP will abolish inheritance tax. Inheritance tax brings in under £4bn - less than a third of what we spend on foreign aid. The super-rich avoid it, while modest property owners get caught by it. It hits people during a time of grief and UKIP will budget in its 2015 spending plans to completely abolish this unfair death tax. • Make cuts to foreign aid that are real and rigorous. Safeguard Against Crime issues_crime.png • No cuts to front line policing. • Make sentences mean what they say. • No votes for prisoners - that’s what losing your liberty means. • Prevent foreign criminals entering the UK - by re-introducing border controls that the EU forced us to abandon. • Scrap the European Arrest Warrant, which sends British citizens to foreign jails without evidence, just to answer questions - replace it with a proper extradition system. • Remove the UK from the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights. Care And Support For All issues_care.png • Open GP surgeries in the evening, for full-time workers, where there is demand. • Locally-elected County Health Boards to inspect hospitals - to avoid another Stafford Hospital crisis. • Prioritise social housing for people whose parents and grandparents were born locally. • Allow the creation of new grammar schools. • Make welfare a safety net for the needy, not a bed for the lazy. Benefits only available to those who have lived here for over 5 years. Free Speech and Democracy issues_democracy.png • No to Political Correctness - it stifles free speech. • The law of the land must apply to us all. We oppose any other system of law. • Teach children positive messages and pride in their country. We want to unite through better integration. UKIP is a patriotic party that believes in putting Britain first. Only UKIP will return self-government to the British people.
Here you go then. Amongst all the pro rich anti poor stuff violent mysogyny making rape within marriage acceptable is particularly irritating. Anyone from a working class background who votes for UKIP is voting for a more right wing Thatcherite party. Remember what her lot did to us last time. I know they hate foreigners but look beyond that FFS. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Never again in my lifetime will I trust the Tories to do right by the working man let alone an ultra right wing party run by loony right wing ex Tories. Lies lies and damn lies these statements of intent are straight out of the nick clegg school of promising. Already elements within ukip are lamenting the sale of the NHS. If something needs doing it certainly doesn'need a Tory ultra right wi g party to sort it out. And tbh dek i haven't seen many business men rushing to ditch Europe because they have guaranteed contracts
I don't trust either labour or the tories marlon, especially on Europe.Ukip will never govern this country nor will they rule Europe, but now they have seats they can influence Europe, they can also influence domestic policies and stop the usual political elite swanning round doing as they please. I remember blair promising us a referendum on Europe, saying they were the only party who would do this, they didn't and tried to soft soap the likes of me by saying it wasn't written in the manifesto.I'm in favour of trading with Europe mate, but not in favour of having anyone from Europe deciding our policies, especially on energy and climate change.
Trouble is big corperates have manouvered themselves so legislation by one country matters not a jot to them as they can exploit the situation. That's why we need a European collective on these issues your right that they need a kick in the backside etc but I would rather trust a democratic European union than a collective of undemocratic business men shitting all over us. People like nudger scrutinising ukip policy for easily reneged on policies hoping they fit in with his new found lifestyle built on previous generations struggle is hopefully pie in the sky.imo
Europe, even with elected mep's is still run by big business and bankers much the same as domestic policy.Labour reckoned to be a party run for the working class but they too were governed by what the big institutes and banks said.History will prove who is right and who is wrong, sooner or later I think we will get the referendum and then we will see how the people really feel.Only after then will we see the consequences which imo wont be half as bad as the pro Europeans make out, germany certainly wont want to stop trading with us. My own stance is obvious,i want out,i cannot see how countries like ourselves and the more wealthier countries gain anything from being part of a union with the likes of Greece and the poorer countries.
Fair enough your entitled to your views. But as far as money from the EU its our gov't directing our share to wealthy(not all) farmers/landowners money usually sent from Europe is sent to poorer areas of the EU in order to bring them in Iine with all the richer EU to make us eventually all equal and that's what we signed up for.the fact that our leaders from thatcher through to Cameron have legislated that the rich can get super rich at our expense so much so that they call on Europe to give us our money back instead of sharing the wealth we already have. Especially in the tories case.
I'd have everybody,in all walks of life equal if I could marlon, but the trouble is not everyone puts the same effort into life and that's why it will never happen. Some people are happy to coast along and just get by,others want to make more of a go of life, and so work a lot harder. This happens not just in this country but probably every other one,so its even harder to get complete harmony. I hate the tories with a passion but labour did nothing for me either,i had to go back and work in the pit just to keep my business afloat under the labour government,if i hadn't had done we'd have lost everything and that was on the back of having cancer. This was in 2007 after 10 years of labour.Labour constantly blame the bankers but they were in bollock deep with them, just as much to blame in my opinion.
SOS to hear you had cancer dek ,hope your sorted and everything's alright . Agree about new labour they were a shambles from start to finish had no clue whatsoever the country only voted them in so as not to have the Tories. Over the last 5 decades we have had socialist and capitalist govt's and neither have been deserving of the people of our country imo
