Agreed. He made a bad choice going there and he knows it.

you're right but it was also a move for his family as much as for him and at the time he was seeing out time in the reserves

Seeing out time in the reserves? Where - Madrid? If so then the only reason why he found himself left out of the starting XI was because of his impending move to L.A. but also when he proved how committed he was to Real's cause, Fabio re-instated him to the starting line-up as he couldn't be overlooked.

But not way too good for their money.

It was another chance to expand brand Beckham. Football didn't come into it.

Because their knowledge of soccer is so limited

and they can't get their tiny little minds to respect a footballers desire to play for his country.

Most clueless set of idiots I think I've ever known, complete disgrace! And don't get me started on that Landon donovan bloke . . . .

So if we signed a player and at the end of the season he went to play for another team in a different country for six months, didn't return until Christmas to play for us you would welcome him back? ********.

When does the american season start and finish,I thought Beckham played during their break (like Landon Donovan wanted to do but couldn't get anyone to take him)

    From here-http://web.mlsnet.com/mls/schedule/index.jsp?year=2009&month=03

It looks like LA's first game was 22March. He didn't start playing for them until a couple of weeks ago so missed about 3-4 months of their season.

I wonder how much $$$$ he generated for them though in the last couple of years?

They have nothing to complain about

If he wanted to sign for us in August then go and play for AC Milan in January it would be more than worth it

If we'd signed David Beckham I wouldn't have an issue with it at all

And nor would you, not if he was coming back to finish the season with us.

He's demonstrated a real passion to play for his country in the next World Cup, and achieving that dream meant playing an extra three months with AC Milan. He's back at the Galaxy now so there should be no issue.

Less of the ******** next time.

Landon Donovan went to Bayern Munich

But he hardly played and they sent him back to Galaxy in time for the MLS Season. Unlike Beckham, who Milan were desperate to keep until the end of the season.

Sour grapes from Donovan, hence his outburst a few weeks ago.
