if factor 30 blocks out uv, but still gives you a tan, then why do people use factor 8 because you have to re-apply it every 2 seconds?

Im not a female so i dont know the answer

Factor 2 is like piss water

might as well use olive oil, best bet if your not used to the sun is to use an high factor and slap it on.

The factor number gives you that times your skins natural protection.

So for example, a Factor 15 gives you 15 times your skin's normal protection.

Someone with fairer skin requires more protection than someone who is darker skinned due to having less melanin.

Personally I prefer to wear Factor Bar to prevent burning!

    Cheers

but why isnt their just one type of suncream, say for example factor 30, because this blocks the harmful uv rays and lets in the less harmful ones aswell. Why put factor 15 on when theirs factor 30? They both block out uv rays and let in the tanning ones dont they?
