Why aren't people going to give Adam Davies a chance

Not on here but people are talking about a new goalkeeper and the lot.

There was 700 at The Shay on Saturday and I would like to think all would say he looked okay.

Kept a 45 minutes clean sheet and made a couple of good saves.
When he had to he commanded the area well and on occasions rushed right to the edge of it to pick up the ball.

 

He had nowt to do Saturday except 1 save, you cant read owt into 45mins

 

As I said don't read too much into him.

Just saying some of the good things he did T1 also.

 

Maybe they are taking a leaf art of your book wi Steele.

Booit ont other foot and all that.

 

We'll give him a chance, but we'd prefer our number one to have played a competitive match.

And judging him based on a 45-min performance against a conference outfit in a friendly is just ridiculous.

 

I'll give him a chance but I have issues with regard to the fact that he's untried at this level and I certainly wouldn't give him a glowing assessment based on a 45 minute stint in a pre-season friendly against a Conference outfit.

Is he English?

If the answers to all of the above are yes, then he can do no wrong and is the bestest player ever.

I look forward to umpteen threads about how great he is and how amazing it is that he managed to make a save/catch a cross/wipe his own arse. All of which will contain (not so) subtle digs at Steele.

 

A clean sheet against Halifax who were coasting 2 nil up. **** me he will be joining Luke in the Champions League he's definitely Barcelona bound.

 

Add in there 'Is he good on Football Manager' and you've nailed it.

 

Of course we need a new goalkeeper. What if he bottles it playing in front of 8000 fans? We need someone with experience. Going into a season with 2 keepers with no professional experience would be suicidal.
