Why can't we be a "promotion-chasing club"?

    According to the Channel 5 Championship highlights programme, "promotion-chasing clubs" are showing interest in Mawson. At this stage of the season, all clubs, including us, should be chasing promotion. I'm not saying I necessarily expect us to get promoted, but that must be the hope at the start of the season. We are interested in Mawson, and, more to the point, he is our player.

    Its Barnsley, in their eyes we're a "small provincial" club who are only happy to stay afloat and not upset the big clubs. They make me chuckle these sports 'journalists'.

    If you base potential on budget, we shouldn't expect to be anywhere near top six. Personally I think anything above bottom three will be a realistic achievement

    The quote holds true, regardless of whether we're promotion chasing or not. Promotion chasing clubs are after him.

    they pissed me off on that programme when they said ....

    and now to Derby who took a short trip up to Barnsley, how insulting was that. Then afterwards it was all Pearson and did not get a look in.... chuffs

    but I did notice in the Sunday Mirrors team of the week Hourihane was in it yet not one Derby player, wonder why that was

    its what ben mansford does, gets teams relegated then after two years promoted again to make it look like he is good at his job

    just wait until he bans all the scum from the ground the attendance will be 2000 a game
