If we were playing rubbish when he was on, why did the team start to play better ? Could mean. They were not trying prior to the sending off The shouts of 'Davey Out' made them try harder They were trying to cover for Moore and ease the pain of his dismissal The changed formation lead to better football, all round.
Psychology played a big part. Every player new that to pull off a win they had to give more than 100%. Fosters lucky goal was the catalyst and gave the rest belief to go forward and win it. JCR was magnificent and is most certainly playing for SD.
Add to that how Doncaster seemed to vanish from the field after we scored our first... Their heads went down big time thinking they had just let a win slip to a draw and were punished even further. I don't think that would have happened against many clubs, apart from the odd piece of individual skill eg Jamals fantastic run to score, I thought we were still pretty average tbh.
