Connor Hourihane marked his debut with a yellow card and a very ineffectual performance as Aston Villa were given a lesson in football by a Brentford side who were looking at 1 win in 6. He maybe made 1 tackle, a couple of passes and in a Barnsley shirt would have received a red card for the challenge which saw him get a Yellow, so at least that's something for him. James Bree was unable to effect the game from the bench, but at least, unlike Connor, he would be spared any of the blame for the spanking that took place on the pitch. Winnall managed 57 minutes for the MASSIVES but still no sign of a goal from Super Sam.
Just bought Rhodes as well. Snake might not score again this season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Update: Winnall made the bench, and stopped there, as the massives went down 1-0 to Leeds. Despite lacking any cutting edge super Sam was not deemed to be the answer. Over at Villa Hourihane had the day off, not making the squad without any reports of an injury. Bree, coming back from an infected knee made the bench, and like Winnall, didn't get on.
Credit to our staff. Barely injured in two and a half years with us, but already missing a game after just a month at his new club.
Not relevant. Accidental collision in training - could have happened to him just as easily at Barnsley.
