It seems most nights, tonight included, there's hours of dross and then a film starts at about 11 and finishes at about 12:30 or 1:00, which is rubbish if you've got to get up for work early the next day. Why don't films start at 9 or even 10? Is it any wonder people move away from mainstream terrestrial TV to on-demand services?
Why not record them and watch the following evening? Or better still go out and have a beer with your mates.
RE: Why not record them and watch the following evening? I tend to watch films on the PC these days, sometimes via the TV, sometimes not. I don't even have a working video any more and I've not got Sky but that does me fine. It's just a shame sometimes that there's a film comes on and I think "Ooh, I'll watch that with the missus" only it's always on too late for me to watch it through to the end and all spontaneity is lost. So I go out and have a beer with my mates instead. Living next door to a pub means spontaneity is always on the cards in that direction.
