Why do I keep reading and hearing that Davey has had 3 seasons in charge?

He really hasn't. He's had 2 and a half. And despite what you think of him that first half season he inherited a team that wasn't good enough and managed to keep us up.

I personally think it is time for a change, but why do people feel the need to justify their arguement by exaggerating the time he's had?

1st season excuse: Not a full season.

    2nd season excuse: Cup run.

3rd season excuse: Iain Hume being injured.

Are we going to have bets on the 4th season excuse if he keeps his job?

Id have anybody over K.O so thats not a real winning argument... but I take your point....

I'd take Hayes back with open arms.... I'd gladly have him for next season

Sorry mate but 3 of those 5 were brought in when Davey was in charge!
Mattis,McCann , Knight, brought in after Ritchies departure, plus Richards scored more goals than what replaced him.

Thats true. Davey has made some shocking signings, no arguement there.

I think I would stake my life on the current best 11 beating the team he took over though . . .

    with or without loan signings?

The current 11 without loan signings has no left winger

Of course it has. Although Devaney is right footed, he has played on the left wing for all his clubs.

I was going to say Devaney could play there . . .

but I think the universe would implode on itself or something if he was playing against himself.

    Which would be Daveys fault.

    What edit?

Well I think we can take Mcfail out, he left before our first season in the championship.

Out of that team I think I would take Howard (proabably in place of Colace). And errrr . . . .

Why do people compare Ritchie`s team with Davey`s team.

If Ritchie had been left in charge his team today would be totally different to the one he had at the time.

Has time ticks on the club by being in the championship has been able to afford higher wages to encourage players to come to Oakwell.

Yet 2 yrs and 8 months or whatever and some good financial backing from PC we are still staving off relegation.

Time for a fresh start and take it to the next level, a year later than PC wanted now, with a new manager with new ideas and a positive outlook.
