Why do I sit in my car for 10 to 15 minutes every night before going into the house?

I sit on toilet and read racing post app for up to an hour before wiping my arse.

    Think it's melancholy.

Why do you? I'll do that if I want to finish listening to a song or something on the car radio but otherwise I can't wait to get inside usually?

Is there anyone inside you’re avoiding? Do you feel lonely in house alone but not in car? Are you too lazy to stand up? Do you need a bit of time to switch out of work you (commuting counts as work you) before becoming evening you?

Do you have any symptoms typically associated with ADHD? It’s a known quirk for many that have it.

I never realised that. I reckon I've probably got pretty much every symptom of ADHD, OCD and Autism if Im being honest so could explain it

Likely then! I have ADHD. We struggle with switching tasks and I guess it’s linked to that.

My wife does the same. I hear her car pull up and she'll have a good 10 minutes on the drive.

    Probably hates me tbf.

Perhaps as @JamDrop suggests, you need a bit more time to unwind. How long is your journey? When I worked, I drove for 30-35 minutes to get home. Every day without fail I listened to music (my own CDs) and sang all the way. By the time I got home, work was a long forgotten, even on the worst of days.

Great advice. When I got home I was talked out (being a receptionist). Laura used to meet me on road and I'd carry George into living room and then she'd offload all about her day and I was talked out.

Maybe a white lie and saying my train was delayed would have given me that respite. Who knows?
