I like to think I generally give a fair assessment and my honest assessment is last night Coventry weren't at the races
Donny, Bury and Crewe were rubbish off their own backs. Coventry were poor in part because of our quick attacking play and work rate.
Dunno. I thought Coventry were alright. Some of their passing was sloppy, but they stretched us a number of times. We just put in the right tackles and the right blocks at the right times. If I was a League 1 manager with a League 1 budget (which rules out Wigan) I sure as hell wouldn't want to be playing Barnsley right now. There's no way another team in this division could afford all the players we have on our books. There's been some good scouting, a bit of luck, some excellent work on the training ground, and some very astute loan signings and it's brought together a squad and a team that are better than the vast majority in this league. The fact that they all run their blood to water every game means their talents are realised and we win a lot more than we lose. I haven't been thinking we've been playing crap teams during this great run, just that we're playing very, very well.
I thought we battered them last night, they could not cope with our pressing them at goal kicks etc, we never looked in any trouble, in terrible conditions to play football, Fletcher had a great game ,after coming in for a bit of stick after starting at Crewe, Best team won by far
