Why do people seem intent on ruining the day?

"I don't feel like going" has been posted. Well if that's the case, don't go! Someone will take your ticket I'm sure. "Our League form is ****" - tell me something I don't know. But come Sunday I won't be worried about it.

This is the biggest day since Bradford, over 10 years ago. It will certainly be one of the greatest days I will have known as a Barnsley fan, and one of the greatest in our clubs long history. How many times have any of us seen Barnsley in an FA Cup Semi-Final?

Win or Lose, I'm going to enjoy myself. If you want to call me a happy-clapper, then go ahead and see if I care.

30,000+ Tarn fans, cheering the Reds on! That's what I'm looking forward to seeing on Sunday. And hopefully, Bri leading OUR team off the field as the second FA Cup finalists.

YOU REDZZ!! (clap) (A Happy clapper!)

Does make you wonder why some people even bother to support a team if they can't get excited about a match like this.

I'll take this historic cup run and relegation dog fight

over mid table medocrity and a third round exit against Blackpool every year of the century.

Give's you something to cheer about... gets the emotions running.... lets you know you're alive.

Seriously - would people rather be Blackpool fans. On 50 points with 17 draws and nothing to play for with over a month to go!

Another way of looking at this

It's ok people saying that they would take this scenario instead of mid-table mediocrity but I am guessing - unlike me - they haven't had to endure a number of years where BFC were in the lower divisions. In 5 years time if we are still toiling away in Div 1 - or Div 2, god forbid! - any FA Cup success will be well in the past and a fading memory.

As regards this being our 'biggest match since Bradford', then how can it be? Surely the play off finals are more important. The winners move up a league, get more money, gain more status, play better teams , play in front of bigger crowds, see better players etc for getting promotion. This is simply a 'one off' (or 'two off' if we get to the final) which other than being a big star on BFC's CV has no longer term rewards.

Come on guys, wake up and smell the coffee. Don't be too hard on those who take the long term league future more serioulsy than the 'icing on the cake' Wembley occassion.

    If we make the Final...

...we'll be in the record books forever, the memory won't be allowed to fade. You have to dig a lot deeper to find the losing Semi Finalists and even further for those who got relegated or survived by the skin of their teeth.

    You're missing the point.

This is a chance to forget the league form for one day. To enjoy the occasion, and to see our team playing in an FA Cup Semi Final. No one denies winning the play-off final was important, but outside Barnsley and Swansea, I doubt it had much impact. Yet beating Chelsea and Liverpool has made people all over the world aware of Barnsley FC. Messages on this board after the Chelsea game, and posts about selling t-shirts with Barnsley FC on in Dubai show the impact these results made.

Yes staying in this league is important, and I don't decry anyone for pointing that out. I saw my first game v Southport in 1966 when Barnsley were bottom of Division 4. I don't want to return to those days either.

But we should savour the moment on Sunday when the Reds walk out onto that Wembley turf.

    Enjoy it! Breathe it!

And worry about the League on Monday.

    YOU REDZZZ!!!

    All well and good.

But when the players dont seem up for it. Then it doesnt fill you full of confidence does it. Going to be a great day out. But we are there to win!
