    He wont be sacked yet

Sacking a manager after 3 games is not a sensible approach - either he was not good enough - in which case he should have been replaced over the summer or he needs to be given a fair chance this season. As our owner considered he was worth keeping on - (as did a majority of fans - though by no means all) he has started the season.

Taking an objective view - we had two away games to the 2 promotion favourites - were unlucky at one but no complaints today we were always likely to lose those games they just happen to be 2 of the first 3

Coventy our home game have always been a bogey side - not surprised we didnt get anything there

Crewe - thats a problem - cup runs are good for the fans and finances to capitulate there is less defendable.

We need serious points out of the next few matches though - others have said he should be given 10 games at least. I think thats reasonable - though 3 more sucessive defeats may make me change my mind - this is where we need to start picking up points - if we are still in the bottom 3 at the end of October then the axe cant be far away

We have to take a minimum of 8 from those. They are games that we have to consider as winnable. Blackpool and Southampton are two of the weaker sides, we have to be going there and picking up points like we did last season. We got a point at Ipswich last season, and all home games we have to be looking to take results from. Anything less than 8 would be seriously worrying.
