Received an email earlier from somebody in the office, I opened the email straight away but before I could start reading it the sender had come to my desk and said "I've just sent you an email as I don't have time to come and discuss it with you, if you can get back to me as soon as possible to let me know what you think"!

Yes, I know how email works - you send me a mail and I can respond to it!

    I'll never forget

In the days before e-mail, my supervisor at the time put something in the internal mail to go to someone who worked on the other side of a filing cabinet from him!

When she received it, she called round to ask him if his leg was better and that if it was, he might want to get up and walk a few feet next time instead of wasting half a day, sending it to the post room downstairs for them to bring it back up and move it the extra yard for him!

I used to work with a guy

who the day before his holidays would take all the crap off his desk and send it to himself in the internal mail - so it arrived after he'd gone on his jolies!

I always used to e-mail the team I worked with...

cos I couldn't stand talking to the f***ers.
