..not give a toss? They sit there with no apparent interest in the game, and don't make any effort to get the ball even when our team are on the front foot and trying to maintain momentum. Don't understand the mentality at all.
If the ball boys aren't drilled to do that then they won't. They're kids, but if you watch at Liverpool the ball boys are really clever. Klopp got in a throw-in coach, and the ball boys were part of that process. It's the small details that make a great team. It also makes everyone feel like they're part of the process. Good team, great tactics, unreal crowd and even boy balls working for the team. Really makes visiting Anfield a struggle.
There was that ballboy s quick thinking on the Spurs match that helped get the goal too, was all over SM and Jose Mouriniho had him in with the players for the pre match meal afterwards.
There was one point that Sibbick had to go get the ball himself, while the bloke in West Stand finished texting. That said, he coulda been with United
Couldn't agree more Gegenpresser. It's disgraceful that on several occasions players had to run into the West Stand to retrieve the ball. And whilst there are many more things to worry about and fix, it's somehow representative of poor standards we're seeing in so many aspects of the club atm. There should be one in each section and when the ball goes out they should be quickly up to get it and make it available for use when it's our throw (and slower when it's the opposition's).
they know that no one will show for the throw so whats the point in running for ball, our throw in been garbage for years, no player prepared to show for it, unless forced
On the front foot It's all well and good trying a bit at 0-3 down but perhaps they are trying to save us further embarrassment and who could blame them. The longer the ball is out of play the better at the moment.
Have asked the same many times this season. I presume the ballboys are linked to academy. The lack of discipline/ care is shocking. In a hugely competitive world where not many make it, they should have work ethic coming out of their pores. It looks really bad on BFC that players are having to hurdle advertising hoardings to retrieve balls where appointed staff are too busy sitting in small groups, with their feet up, to be @rsed.
It is symptomatic of the state of the club at the moment, no discipline, no strategy and no interest it seems.
