They might not be good enough to start, but why not give them some experience for the last 20 minutes when we're down with three goals anyway.

i dont believe in bringing players on just for experience. play them to make an impact in the game and scoreline. obviously Davey thinks they won't.

Butterfield was good enough to play for us at wembley last season in the FA cup semi final yet Davey suddenly doesn't think he's good enough for the third round.

coulson has been scoring for fun in the reserves yet odejayi who has now had well over 60 attempts to prove himself still gets the nod

How else would we find out what these youngsters have to offer? Do you honestly think that reserve team football is going to prepare them for playing in the Championship. What better time to to try them out than in a game which is no longer important in the grander scheme of things but does still offer a higher than usual standard of play.

Well said. I for one cannot see any hope for players like Butterfield and Heslop making it at this level, having watched them in the juniors and reserves.

Just my opinion...
