The same people slagging off the manager and the same players every week. Some of you are on here while games are in progress so your not ideally suited to giving an opinion.

Why are you Reds fans? Is it a Barnsley born thing to be so bloody negative about everything and anything?

Some of you are young and will hopefully mature and become more open minded in time but its obvious that some are old enough to know better.

Is it that some of you are just sad anoraks with nothing better to do that come on here and take a swipe at everything red and white?

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Some people who go to the games shouldn't have the right to an opinion too!

I suppose people wouldn't moan if it didn't hurt, so that does make them fans, if not 'supporters'in the truest sense of the word.

The only reason I moan nowadays is because its sad to see the lack of passion in the players of today. As I have just mentioned in another post, when I first started to watch the reds in 89/90, we had players then who weren't the greatest, but they always seemed to give their all. The only current players with a bit of fire in their bellies I can name are Austin, Kay, Howard and Richards. Its this sort of passion I want to see from ALL the team.

If we had this passion, I dont think I could bring myself to moan at any player. Just as long as they give their all, thats all you can expect.

Never lived in Barnsley, me Dad's from tarn and i was brought up

with a Thou Shalt Support the Reds mentality,
ben going to games since 1967, still go regularly but not got a season ticket since the kids came along,
the thing about this season is that i can not remember a Barnsley team creating so many scoring chances only to blow them, some may argue there is a lack of confidence re the stikers but when none of the 4 can score i dont buy that one, the strike force's inability to put the ball away is the one reason we are not top of this league

Best defence we've had for a long time. Quality midfield pair even after burns left. Hit and miss wide men. Strikers... ha !!!

Richards works hard, runs around alot, scored two great goals, bugger all else.

Hayes, very skillful, cows arse and banjo comes to mind though. Reminds me of Sheron.

    Wright, Why ???

Nardiello, by far the most natural striker at the club. Attitude problem ? So would I have if I kept seeing this shower being picked ahead of me.

I think we should have really pushed hard to sign Windass. Old strong and knows where the net is. I think we'd have been up by now if we'd signed him.

Oh by the way, Rich tea and Holden are the best managerial team since Wilson's time. I cann't believe the amount of stick he's getting. Paul Hart or Spackman anyone ?

My team , my club , my town , my people

Love them to bits , but it's sometimes painful to do so . Frustration gets the better of me occasionally and I say things I don't really mean , but I never doubt that I'll go back for more .
Barnsley , to me , are THE team , THE club , The town and THE people .
