Why does AR have a problem with experienced players

Let me say I am a fan of AR and appreciate all that has happened over the last season or so and thank him for the great day out at Cardiff.

But, and this is a massive but AR seems to have a big fear of hiring any seasoned pro's. As all of the fans who attend games can see we are short of experience at this level and we have had games this season we should have won by a mile.

I was at the game yesterday and we should have had that game won and been ready for the showers by half time. If we are to stay up we need to win this type of game but we constantly rely on young players and kids to keep us up and frankly it aint gonna happen.

Vito dropped a massive bollock yesterday and yes I was gutted but I have to point the finger at AR who yet again went for a kid to be back up for Colgan who in my eyes needs to be under pressure from an experienced keeper to help him focus on cutting down the B*ll*cks he drops.

It seems as if AR has a problem with dealing with experience, maybe because he cant use the "trust me I've done it this way in my long career" routine which he can with young players.

I speak to GS and believe me that guy knows what problems we have and without giving anything away I wouldnt blame him for players not coming in....

AR has to knock this blind faith routine and get some players in who can add some steel and qaulity to what is without doubt a squad with potential.

No one will convince me that in all of the English and Scottish leagues there isnt a more experienced keeper we could have taken on loan as backup, but yet again we go for a kid.

We had nothing on the bench and if it doesnt change soon I can honestly see the revolving door starting to swing once more at Oakwell. BFC can't stand a return to the pub league and we have to be prepared to gamble a little.

AR still has my support for now but I need to be convinced that there is some steel in the management and that when the blantley obvious comes knocking at your door AR can invite it in and deal with it.

Also think he was out of line having a pop in the programe about a fan who wrote to him, AR I was at that game sunshine and we could have played all week and not won. I understood your reasons for playing a weaker team with a league match so close but dont have a go at the folk paying your wages mate or your support will go faster than you can imagine. Be honest and say it wasnt a high enough priority...works much better.

Rant over.....I want to see changes now.

I can understand your frustrations with recent results (by that we mean only two defeats), and I can understand you wanting to see quality experienced professionals coming into the club (as we all do) - but I can't understand how anyone can look at Andy Ritchie and talk about 'AR has my support for now', or disrespect him by calling him 'sunshine'or even demand 'changes now'.

The last thing we need is the bad old days of a new manager every nine months. It would be extremely difficult to replace Andy Ritchie with a manager even half as good. Nobody is perfect and we're not going to win the league, but Ritchie is an excellent manager and he should have our support for the long term, not 'for now'. After what he has done for us, none of should be calling him 'sunshine' and considering we got promoted at least one season earlier than most people expected, is seems ridiculous that anyone ought to be demanding changes.

Ritchie is working with budgetary constraints, experienced quality players don't come cheap. I respect him for not just signing any old ***** that happens to come available (we've been in that situation before).

We all need to show a little faith and ride this out.

Correct and if anything sends us down it will be that and not AR.. It might send AR out looking though (for himself) if he feels his loyalty is being shat on...

Go on then how do you work that out becausemost of the quotes I've seen GS is saying that money is available and its AR who says he's happy with what we have got and we have strength in depth (def mystified by that one)

AR has tried to sign at least four players this season, so is obviously keen to sign new players.

We failed to sign any of them

If you think sunshine is disrespectful, wait till I really dislike someone

Let me just put your mind at rest, when I called AR sunshine it is a friendly term. If you had said to someone I was at the game pal, or mate or me old love does that mean you are being disrespectful...no

AR has done masses for the club and I applaud him for all of it but I will never carry on giving support to someone who is still waving as the ship goes down. AR has my support for now as doubts are appearing that he will be able to take us as far as we would like him to....I seriously hope he shoves my comments down my throat and proves me wrong.

Also my comments about the revolving door refer back to the days when we had managers coming and going before they had time to get the office lights on. If things go down hill I am sure GS will look at the situation and that is my fear for AR.

We have the potential to do ok at this level but I am just getting concerned that we are not looking to bolster what is a very thin on the ground squad.

By the way I only called AR sunshine yet he talked of us on the forum in a derogatory fashion in the program and there is no comment about that.

All I want is BFC to be successful and stable and I will cheer them on as I always have, but I reserve my right to say when things concern me and that is all my post was about.
