    He lives in the area.

    He enjoyed his time playing for us.

    Why do want to know that?
    I am sure there is some deep philosophical reason ?

    I've wondered for a while. No real reason I just wondered why he'd support us over his other past clubs

    Because we used to pay him £800 every time he scored a goal. Apparently.

    If he played in front of this midfield he'd struggle to get £800 a season

    He likes all his former clubs to do well.

    He loves the town , not just the club though. Everyone has a place that they feel is THE place for them. Barnsley is Bruce`s place. I find it amazing that he still lives around here, when all his family are still around London area. I am glad he loves Barnsley, he does a lot of good in the community and really enjoys being here.

    Talking to him at palace a few years ago, he said he loved the area the people and the attitude towards life that we have and just got sucked into to live his life in the same way as the people of Yorkshire and thought it was the ideal place to bring his family up, and now that he's local he supports a local team and the team that means most to him in this area is Barnsley Football Club

    For one thing Bruce has not got the time, he does a lot of prison work all over the Country as well as the stuff in Barnsley, plus I don`t think the "Ginger One" can remember how to get on the pitch at Oakwell ! :rolleyes:

    I know you don't go to Oakwell often these days so I understand your confusion, the management team tend to sit in the dugout not on the pitch ;
    What does he do in prison? The church stuff and trying to rehabilitate/give hope to prison? Sounds like a top man

    Oh he knows where the dugouts are !! Its just he cant remember how to get past the whiteline !! He still wants to play and he is still good enough , well I dont think anyone can say he isn`t(unless you are from Hemsworth) because you have not seen him play this season enough to judge him.
    Bruce does a lot with Life life prison team, giving talks to offenders and trying to give hope and inspiration to them !
