...and now another? Does Sir Alex like us so much because his brother Martin used to play for us? Or does he see us as a decent feeder club not too far from Old Trafford but with his young starlets away from the attention of the NW media and Cheshire set potential WAGs?!

    Bit of both me thinks!

    That's right, Martin Ferguson

half back (midfielder to you lot!).

Only had one season with us, 1965-66 but scored 17 goals in 40 games.

IIRC there was a bit o' grumbling that he was allowed to leave. Some things never change!

Yes but PC's influence is certainly contributory

    if not essential

    No

But we have only ever had Neil Whitworth(92), Curtis & Nardiello on loan before Eckersley. Rammel & Grahamwere either bought or a freebies. So I suppose 2 in two weeks (should this other geezer come) would be an acceleration. Interestingly Davey said he had recently spent a day with AF recently even though he was only really "an acquaintance"

    Not a downer

    was a simple question.

Tho I admit I dont currently believe the club is at present at its most stable nor that its painting itself in glory. Only my opinion like.... hence not being on bbs as much as I used to be. have lost much of my passion in recent months

Also links back to the Munich air disaster when Mr Taylor was involved too.
