Coming from Ossett I like us beat Leeds and Hudderfield more than Sheffield clubs. Is there some reason or do you like to beat them both just same.
I don't think United are as smug as Wednesday They have a touch of reality in their lives, unlike those Wednesdayites who think they're the biggest club in the world and have a god given right to be in the Premiership. Although, Blade is an exception to that rule!
blue and white stripey porkers are the lowest of the low and some of 'em come from western barnsley which makes 'em even worse. Blunts fans generally less arrogant and I even know a couple with reasonable objective views..I know plenty of piggies and they are, to a man (if indeed that is the correct term), cnuts. A bit like l**ds.
This might help u understand One word. ARROGANCE "So then dingles are you looking forward to Saturday? You ought to be, considering that it will significantly up your record home league attendance for the season and you will get to see a half decent side at last. It amazes me though how you can honestly consider yourself a better team and on the whole a more attractive prospect to others than we in the blue half of Sheffield are(see there's another side in our CITY as well, you tend to get that when you live in a place that doesn't have to scrounge a postcode off your neighbours). Now the table doesn't lie and we are where we are for a reason, on the whole we simply haven't been good enough to get much higher, and yes we have been below you for a good chunk of this campaign, but nothing ever lasts forever does it. It's no good having your glory day out at Anfield and then not being able to deliver the goods down at the footballing superpower that is the mighty Norwich City. You think you are a better side than us, how? Of course, no one in their right mind would openly admit that they supported the inferior side, bravado does come into football for a reason. But come on lads, be realistic. Your ground is a dump and will never get any better. Ours is in need of some serious attention, but has been and can get better. Your playing squad, that one that was pushing up the table into play-off contention not so long ago, free-fall anybody? Our playing squad, hardly likely to be decimated by international call-ups but when fully fit and can be bothered be to turn up, easily better than yours, as proved back in November. Managers? How many approaches for your boss have you had to reject this season? Fans?Have you actually managed over 20,000 this season at home in the league? How many times have you actually topped say, 15,000? Our attendances have dwindled alarmingly and with good reason, over the last 10-15 years.Yet still we turn up in our droves. Now that isn't blind faith or a refusal to admit what others would have us do,that's called dedication. We may end up taking as many as 8,000 on Saturday,a figure you could never manage. Yes,considering Barnsley is only a stones throw away,we should take plenty. With that in mind, why couldn't you muster a decent following for the first derby. You can come up with the excuse that there are far more people in Sheffield than Barnsley to explain the difference in crowd figures. Utter tosh, as there are more than enough people in Barnsley to fill Oakwell, so why can't you. Seats aren't empty for no reason. Wednesday fans are often accused of living in the past, and that is true to more than a few of us, sadly that's all a lot of us have now. But therein lies the answer, we have a past to live off, where is yours? To sum up, we are hardly pulling up any trees, but we can get a lot better, whereas you most certainly cannot. Will we beat you? almost certainly. Can I guarantee 3 points on Saturday, no Do I expect them, oh yes. 2-0 Wednesday. UP THE OWLS!!!! we will be all over the ground again just like we are every time we go to the sh*thole that is Barnsley !! Will be hard to spend loads of money there cos its just like a massive poundland !" According to Brian Laws. States that his side are far superior and this showed late last year at Hillsborough. Hopes that his side can take advantage of Barnsleys cup fluke and hopes to sign Izale McCleod by close of play tomorrow night to partner Craig Beattie.
i hope the entire team dies in a coach crash, HATE ME and infact if i so much as sniff one of the filthy pigs in the ponty i will snack the lovely person spark out! Can someone print this off and give it to davey to read to the players before the game??? Becasue that has motivated me enough to step in the ring with mike tyson in his prime
United fans are shitholes. I dont like Wednesday but fecking despise United. All this "Utd fans are alright" B*ll*cks pisses me off. Save it.
Nothing to do with the fact that we beat you with monotonous regularity? Actually, I love it when we play Barnsley. There is nothing better than a local derby played in front of a vociferous crowd and I hope that we can repeat last season's double over you. But after Saturday I'll be hoping that you sort your league form out and even give Chelski a bloody nose. To dub all Wednesday fans as more arrogant than the Blades is ludicrous. We know our place in the pecking order - until we can shift the burden of £30m debt we are always going to be treading water and selling our better players. That lot from S2 have one (not very successful) season in the top flight and they suddenly think they are Barcelona. I think your historical hatred of us is colouring your judgement.
People from Barnsley that are Wednesday fans there's fecking loads of em, always willing to pull their own towns team down. Makes me laugh when Wednesday fans have a pop at folks from Tarn, a fair old chunk of their support is from Barnsley.
That's certainly a lot of it for me We beat the Blunts more often than not but wins over your lot have been too rare for my liking. Hopefully something we can start to remedy this weekend.
For me it stems from the big games we had with them in the early 80s And how we always seemed to get conned by the ref. They were our biggest rivals at the time (along with Rotherham, but they've gone off the radar) and with me being just a kid that rivalry made a big impression, so Wednesday have always been the team I want us to beat the most. The fact that we rarely do has probably kept that intensity alive. However, I don't buy into the notion that all Wednesday fans are a bunch of cnuts. The majority are just Sheffielders who support their local team. I've no problem with that.
For me it goes back to the 70s-80s era When Glavin, Parker and Banksy were on the park. I remember the away games when we were all over the oinkers but the ref always seemed to disallow a goal or 2 for us. I remember one match where we were winning 1-0 before halftime and Banksy scored a fantastic goal to make it 2-0....... ermmm NO the ref disallowed the goal... even the oinkers didn't know why. They went on to win the match :-(
Hoyland , Penistone and theres a car in Dodworth with a wednesday til I die sticker in the back - it makes me sick
RE: "Again, we'll never see you again" What can I say? We were on a great run, looking at the play offs whilst you appeared to be heading in the other direction. It's a bit of banter and the fact that so many of you appear to get wound up by it, so much the better. I don't actually think that you're all 6-fingered banjo playing inbreds but it won't stop me singing about it tomorrow afternoon should the opportunity arise. Some of the people I love most dearly on the planet live in or came from Barnsley so what would that make me if I insisted they were all cnuts just because of where they live or what football team they support? Anyway a bit of hyperbole never hurt anyone - are you seriously telling me that watching Barnsley is just like watching Brazil? I won't wish you good luck tomorrow because I really wouldn't mean it, but have a great day regardless and an even better one next Saturday. You'll have the support of every Wednesday fan I've spoken to.
They just are Its a bit like asking why are you a Barnsley fan. I was raised that way. I cannot remember my first game, I just grew up knowing that tarn blood flows in my veins and that it matters more than anything else to stuff the Wednesdays. Just as the earth goes around the sun..... fact
Its not a hate thing I just like to see the Wednesdays getting stuffed. It gives me a warm glow all over. But thats nothing compared to the feeling when we are doing well
