The entire Harry potter collection has been shown on Saturday evenings 3 times since 2018, the entire James bond collection 4 times (apparently). That's well over 100 Saturday evenings showing repeats of the same two movie franchises at prime time on Saturdays. Surely they can't get viewing figures to justify that?
To be fair, they’ve “rotated” films for years now. Jurassic park/world, Johnny English. It can’t be long until Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead is back on. I guess it is what they have the rights to show. Harry Potter is usually shown around Christmas time so I guess that’ll be in a few months when it’s on most weekends.
It’s a fair point, but I have to say I’ve actually enjoyed watching these Bond films as it’s absolutely years since I last saw them and forgot some of the characters etc.
ITV have nothing to do with the licence and it wouldn’t effect them in any way. It is though a tad bizarre that you need a licence to watch any live tv yet all the money goes to the bbc.
Once emailed itv 2 over nanny McPhee being on constantly over 2 months Saturday and Sunday, asking if the wanted to borrow some dvd s to show instead. They replied saying they where utilising the film since they have to pay to show it by duration but not how many times they play it
Any way of finding out how many times Tomb Raider has been on the Syfy channel? I reckon it's well over a thousand.
Doesn't bother me films being repeated. I could watch Star Trek, Bond, Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones over and over. Never get bored.
