People constantly moaning about irrelevant things? Or people moaning for mornings sake?

Maybe hatredisnt the right word. He regularly makes reference to it in a negative way though and I think it really hurts him what is put on here. He appears to only be able to see the bad and not the good which is a shame.

Actually I can kind of understand why because there have been a lot of negative things said about him on here in the past but there has also been a lot of positive and I think he needs to find it within himself to focus on that just as much.

Personally I think it would do him the world of good to sign up and engage with supporters on here. As Patrick the person, not some robot nobody running a football club because Patrick the person is a funny, intelligent guy. Obviously there would be certain things he couldn't say on here but as long as people weren't badgering him I think it would be great. He is after all a fan.

I don't think he has, nor have I seen any examples of this. I have only had one dealing with him (on a personal issue) and he was a perfect, generous gentleman.

    What did he say?

And I agree that hatred isn't the correct word. I think distrust or fear is the correct word

If I ignore everything everyone else has written and just concentrate on my own posts, Mr Cryne has received lorry loads of criticism over the years. Personally, I'd encourage him not to read this forum. My skin isn't thick enough to be able to deal with being talked about all the time, so I wouldn't read it if I was in his position, but if Mr Cryne thinks he can cope with it, that's up to him. But I'm not surprised if he's got a love/hate relationship with this place. For every valid piece of criticism aimed at him, which is hard enough to take in itself, I reckon there must be a dozen posts that are completely unfair. I hope temptation never gets the better of him resulting in him signing up to and posting on this forum. He and his family already live and breathe Barnsley Football Club every single day. If he started addressing issues on here it would take over his entire life. He needs a break from it. And even if I don't always agree with him or the club's decisions, I think the way that he, Ben and the manager make themselves available to answer questions and issues raised from the fan-base is fantastic. Probably better than any other club.

I agree about the club being available more than any other. I think they could be improved in terms of the exact details of what they do but the general principles are brilliant.

What I meant by Patrick signing up was to post as himself about anything, not to post answering questions though I appreciate it would be hard to draw a line between the two.

I think he'd just be bombarded with questions.

Remember when Gordon Shepherd used to post on here? He and I had a right ******* row.

If I were Mr Cryne I'd block Twitter, this site, etc etc.

As did he and I. Trinkets galore.

You're right as usual, it wouldn't work. It's a shame but it wouldn't.

It would be really good if there could be an official club account made on here where the BBS occasionally hosts Q&A sessions like the fan engagement meetings though

    Its football FFS

And he knew from the start that if you put your head above the parapet as a footballer, manager or owner..........then you are opening yourself up to a shed load of emotions from people that can swing from total adulation to abuse at the drop of a hat.
Where that abuse would not be tolerated outside of football.
Has Patrick Cryne got the stomach to be able to deal with it?............I don't know, but I suspect that he hasn't because he comes over as quite a sensitive type of fella.
